i thought my galaxy s3 was better then the iphone 5 so i can only imagine the s4 is even better

it would be cool for a new species in the area, especially something new to hunt. I worry that they would compete with deer and what problem's they would have with residential areas. I would rather see that money go towards management of the species we have now though. it would be nice to see more bears bobcats and so on.

I thought more towards 200lbs.

what's consider long range around here for shooting deer anyways? i'm sure everyone has that 200 yard shot they like to brag about, but honestly what is the average yardage for deer you've taken? I have a 300 but its just a gun to bring to the range to see who has the balls to shoot it, never ever taken it deer hunting. I think you could use that 1000 bucks and get a lot nicer set up for deer then a 300 in my opinion.

yup I don't think I would have to think to hard about sending an arrow his way!

Fishing wasn't good at all. Dont know if it was just me or the lake. First time fishing it.

It was about 10ft long and maybe 10 inches around.

Thanks early! That would explain why we thought we were seeing a giant boa coming out of cassadaga lake lol

My son and I were on Cassadaga Lake today. We noticed a bunch off bubbles and then some thing popped out of the water. From where we were we both could of swore it was a huge snake. When we got closer we realized it was some kind of root. Anyone ever see this or know what it is?

I was told that at walmart employes were reserving ammo for each other. And putting out what little was left for the public.

Well anyone in the southern tier want to help me trap and hunt these dang things? I've tried hunting them without any success and I'm new to trapping as you can be. Hands on help or threw here would be greatly appreciated.

I got my son one that came with a 20g, 22lr, and a .243 barrel for 200 bucks. The 243 and 22 had scopes mounted already. But it's so light the 20g kicks like a mule. Not sure about the 243 haven't shot it yet.

We call it treestand surfing.

I actually just took my trapping course this summer. Wasn't planning on trapping coyote first thing but I guess I'll being investing some time and effort into it earlier then planned. I've saved a few carcasses too. But this morning on a property down the road when walking in I jumped a deer and the biggest coyote I ever saw flew across the trail 50 yards in front of me in the same direction.

My dad watched two or three coyote take down a full size doe the other day while he was checking wells. He came up on a doe which was foaming at the mouth pretty bad and she took a few steps from behind a tree and her ass end was tore up pretty bad then she took off and the coyotes came out right behind her. We also hunt this land and seems like the population is getting bigger every year. We've find fawn remains every year and the squirrel and deer population has almost disappeared. Haven't seen more then a couple squirrels and a few days ago pushed the whole property without seeing a thing. Can a coyote population decimat all wildlife in an area like this?

I've heard stories of guys getting one in their coyote traps. I'd love to see one. Last year we thought we had one around but never were 100%. I don't know if there is a population in the 9k 9g area

I can understand someone being a little put off by hanging a deer by the neck. The first thing I would think is a noose but I'd also know that's my imagination running wild. I personally think its easier to process by the legs and i've never seen a professional butcher hang one by the neck. I wouldn't put any worry about what someone else thinks either though.

I really enjoy tracking someone elses deer but the stress and anticipation of tracking my own can be a bit nerve racking at times. Especially when the trail gets cold.

Thanks for all the congrats I appreciate it tons. I did get it in perrysburg and the prices I've gotten were from 350 to 500. I'm happy with a DIY mount and the memory. I'm hoping ill have many more and bigger ones to mount. I'll post a pic of the mount soon. I just need to pick at it a little and whiten it.
-
Shot it from my climber at about 5 yards away. Cost of a mount was a bit much for this one but I did skin and boiled the head today and I'm going to do a European mount.

So I finally did it. After 3 years this being the 4th I finally got a buck and with my bow. I started hunting 3 years ago with the intentions of getting a monster. I let dozens of deer go because I had the idea in my head that a bigger one was coming then be pissed off at the end of the season with no buck. I got a basket 8pt and couldn't be happier. I'll post a pic soon.

Just needs some deer in it to be perfect.
