Did a short walk for about 1.5mile and came up empty..seems bucks are still holding on to their head gear

Its ok in Maine just not in NY..lol Jokes aside i dont think they are feeding corn which causes acidosis but oats acorns etc are ok

As for squirrel hunting, i have never tried it but my mentor always said, use a couple of quarters and rub them together to use as a call

I have access to a suburban spot and deer travel enough to know they are being hunted. Suburbia deer while lawn mowing dont even move 10 yards during summer. Come deer season the same deer high tail out at the site of a human just like any deer.

The basic pull thru sharpener works great on those blades also, I can usually get 2-3 deer processed from each blade being resharpened before it reaches a point of being too thick where a new bevel angle is needed.

Sometimes it comes down to access, some of us have time and will but no access to areas that hold true giants.

Deer hunting is tough to get addicted to, i always start/introduce them with pheasants on a preserve. Gets at least 25% hooked
