  1. I understand most users have left this forum, but seems ATF just changed directions and now all braces or even ar15 pistols are outlawed by May 2023 Maybe @Nomad will chime back in and advise who or what it impacts..
  2. What an amazing collection..here I was thinking my 10mm set was nice..lol I know you dont but if you ever plan to part ways with the 44 set, please ping me.
  3. Prepaid envelope in the mail coming to you ..lol
  4. If the scope caps would catch on brush, than IMHO its too thick to take a shot at deer. Mail them to me if you dont want/like them
  5. Seems to have been dead a long time..nice finds
  6. They have a purpose during snow/rain when you have it hanging on a tree, very silent to flip open when you are ready to shoot. If you are concerned with jump shooting, when you load the xbow just flip caps open for your walk in. Its not that complicated.
  7. Just make sure its around 55-60 degrees when you paint it. Helps with adhesion
  8. This works great https://www.lowes.com/pd/Rust-Oleum-High-Heat-Flat-Black-Spray-Paint-Actual-Net-Contents-12-oz/3728731?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-pnt-_-ggl-_-LIA_PNT_219_Interior-Stain-Spray-Paint-_-3728731-_-local-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhsXhkfO7_AIVEfl3Ch2sew4NEAQYAyABEgLpbfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  9. I love a blued gun with a gloss walnut stock but after seeing sun reflect my buddies gun from his tree stand almost 400yd away like a signaling mirror; i wont be seen in the woods with anything shiny like it. His gun looked almost like chrome reflecting the sun. I wish i should have taken a picture that day.
  10. I have the vortex and the redfield crossbow rangefinder(discontinued) I prefer the redfield, its dead accurate with custom bolts out to 60yards.
  11. I would be honored to take him hunting, so many stories and so much to learn
  12. I think what you put in a day is what I put in months...lol You always end up finding so many
  13. Time to start shed hunting..thats what my plans are this weekend
  14. Hotter is always better What I have read so far is that fouling is more of an issue when not all the powder ignites..
  15. https://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/administration_pdf/0210caseclosed.pdf
  16. Shoot 3 shot groups from each and see which works best. CCI is supposedly the preferred one though.
  17. Thanks, willing to put in any sweat equity needed before the season opens.
  18. Yes, a giant chair over looking the canyon. :)
  19. I would like to see those bucks back on camera. All have been nocturnal, not even the storm got them moving in my area.
  20. I was thinking on my walk out.. what if some one makes a marginal shot and decides to leave it over night to recover tomorrow morning. What date do you put on the tag? The day it was shot or recovered?
  21. I sat out for the evening and got a fawn come by and circled all around for the last hr. I was tempted to break in the ML but opted to let her walk till Sept of this yr.
  22. I have enough brass for my 308 , saved over the yrs . My concern is if/when I get into reloading how much more time will I need to dedicate to it. I spend too much time index/weight matching my arrows already..lol
