I love a blued gun with a gloss walnut stock but after seeing sun reflect my buddies gun from his tree stand almost 400yd away like a signaling mirror; i wont be seen in the woods with anything shiny like it. His gun looked almost like chrome reflecting the sun. I wish i should have taken a picture that day.

I have the vortex and the redfield crossbow rangefinder(discontinued) I prefer the redfield, its dead accurate with custom bolts out to 60yards.

Shoot 3 shot groups from each and see which works best. CCI is supposedly the preferred one though. -

I would like to see those bucks back on camera. All have been nocturnal, not even the storm got them moving in my area.

I was thinking on my walk out.. what if some one makes a marginal shot and decides to leave it over night to recover tomorrow morning. What date do you put on the tag? The day it was shot or recovered? -

I sat out for the evening and got a fawn come by and circled all around for the last hr. I was tempted to break in the ML but opted to let her walk till Sept of this yr. -
I have enough brass for my 308 , saved over the yrs . My concern is if/when I get into reloading how much more time will I need to dedicate to it. I spend too much time index/weight matching my arrows already..lol

I planted around 200 white/norway spruce trees around the perimeter and maybe 20 survived The type of soil makes a big difference along with sun exposure. My area was swampy and water wouldnt drain in weeks. The roots never took -
