  1. I hope he knows how much we all appreciate him and his colleagues. Send him my best. Thanks so much for sharing!
  2. Any love for the no longer produced Activ slugs? Pretty much the only slug I've ever hunted with. About 10 years ago, right as I was about to finish my last couple of boxes, an auction in New Harmony, IN had a bunch. I came home with all they had, about 75 rounds. I'm down to my last 40, and will probably shed a tear when the last one goes down the barrel. I should probably just hang onto a box for pure nostalgia sake.
  3. Quick update on this old girl. Was having issues with it cycling shells. I was able to devote some time to a tear down and deep cleaning tonight, and she's running through shorts like a charm. I can't wait to get her out and shoot her.
  4. Sorry, I guess I should ask what that's supposed to mean before I take it as an insult.
  5. That's an argument I can respect. Thank you! Take care!
  6. And what, have them build beds? From what I understand, the facilities are overwhelmed, as well as the staff. I'm not sure what you're looking for, yes, I guess...I don't know....
  7. Just as bad as I'd feel if someone that I loved or cared for couldn't get treated because they didn't have access to treatment. This whole situation sucks, but I'm of a kind that we're all in this together, and that's the only way we'll get out of it... together. However, I am a bleeding heart liberal
  8. So how far do you take this, only people from your town are good enough to save? Your neighborhood? Maybe just your immediate family? I feel like if we have the capacity to help fellow Americans, and New Yorkers, why not? There is obviously a fundamental and ethical chasm here that we're not going to be able to bridge. Thanks for your perspective...
  9. Woah, we are really far apart on this one. Good talking to you I guess...
  10. Again, they're not bussing them to Walmart, they're going to facilities equipped to handle this. Seems reasonable, and I'm sure the reverse would be the case if the outbreak area was flipped. I do get the "others taking care of them" part though. Let the New Yorkers take care of the New Yorkers..
  11. It's not like they're sticking them in your living room. They are out of beds in the city, we have the space, it's not like they're some foreign enemy, they are human beings, Americans who live less than 200 miles away from you. Plus, if we had a massive outbreak in upstate, you don't think they'd be shipping people downstate if they had to? I mean I understand being an isolationist, but that's pretty hard hearted...
  12. Totally agree, leave the sorry saps down there to die...we don't want em. Gimme a break.
  13. But what happened to all of the money that they got to keep after Trump's first stimulus (tax bill)? It seems to me that this is the second time in a little over 10 years that American tax dollars have been used to bail out major American companies. All of which benefited happily from conservative tax and deregulation policies. Just like in 08-09, pressure has been placed in a booming but fragile economy, and it has crumbled under the watch of free market conservative administrations. Funny how conservatives are all about a free market, until they're not. And every time it is costing Trillions of tax dollars to rescue. The words "Too big to fail" come to mind, but it seems like the big ones keep failing... Regardless, you're right, it's a fundamental argument of fiscal conservativism coming from a moderate Democrat, and corporate bailouts from conservatives... This is nothing personal against you Belo. If I sound frustrated, it's because I am, but not with you, or anyone in particular for that matter.
  14. But the Democrats did get them to keep money from going to Pres, VP, Executive Officials and Congress (and direct relatives), and established an advisory board to decide who gets funding, rather than Trump being the sole decider like he had proposed. Maybe the Dems were using the pork as bargaining chips to force a little more oversight into the bill....
  15. Agreed, I know that's the way politics works and all, but it doesn't mean that it's right. And yes, no member of Congress, the Pres, VP or the head of any Executive dept. can get any money. A little protection I guess, and that was something the dems fought to get in there.
  16. Yep, I don't get that either....just a way for Democrats to get something that they wanted and wouldn't usually get. I was happy to see that Trump's businesses couldn't get anything, though with the poisonous way that American business works, there's probably back channels and shell companies that could still work...
  17. Looks like airlines will get $25 BILLION in grants, and small businesses are being offered loans. I guess it pays to be a big player, and I'm sure they employ plenty of lobbyists, I'm sure much more that a local small business can employ. I'll remember this the next time I pay out the butt for my sardine can of a seat, though I won't be able to do much to change it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping keep this thing from crashing us and making the crisis last longer than it has to, but it seems like my the bailout being paid with my tax dollars is being weighted heavily towards a few specific industries, and I really think it is only to prop up SM numbers, which is what I think the powers that be seem to be most concerned about. I know, I'm very hard on the administration, but I just don't trust it...
  18. Boy, that corporate welfare is really a shot of steroids for the companies that got it. Let's just hope that it sticks, because they are really playing all of their cards with pushing rates to 0 and giving out free money. Not much else they can do now...
  19. Fixed it, now it's a Space Alien TP dispenser. I hope this is better
  20. Maybe something like this would put an end to the debate...
