  1. Can you share the link to your ad? I'd like to see them. Thanks!
  2. Can we please start putting the political posts in the political forum? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to give it a break.
  3. I'll have a mullet if things don't shape up quickly. I always joke that I have enough Kentucky hillbilly blood in me that once my hair hits a certain length it just starts curling back up like Billy Ray. I've noticed the wings behind my ears are starting to show up as well. I usually go once a month, and I'm right at 2 months now.
  4. Not intended to be political...
  5. Boy, some people just can't resist stirring the pot. I'm not defending any conduct that we've seen here tonight, but when you keep poking, you're at least partially to blame.
  6. Reading about this phone call is a good way to drive home the importance of civility. I respect both parties more after this. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/06/politics/biden-trump-call/index.html
  7. I'm looking and can't find a number. How many did it kill Rattler?
  8. Okay, I got through a few of them. Plenty there to support your argument. I agree, there is a tipping point, but I don't think we're there. Whether we're close, that could be argued, but I will continue to side with scientists who understand the nature of the virus and have way more information than me. There will be an economic impact, probably felt most by small businesses. I'm doing what I can to support my local businesses, as I'm sure most of us are. However, I'm not ready to say start the monster back up and damn the casualties. Give it a few weeks and we hopefully will all be whistling a different tune.
  9. I think several people are going to need to replace their poop stirring sticks by the time this thread is through. I know mine is starting to get a little worn out.
  10. Yet again Rattler, we both disagree....you have your reasons and sources, and I have mine. I have had better things to do than comb the forums looking for arguments and things to gripe about, so no, I did not see your other sources, though I'm sure they were entirely impartial and thoroughly convincing. I think I should stick to those better things I was referring to.
  11. I refuse to read anything on "The Federalist" as vehemently as you would refuse to read CNN. Nothing but a far right rag. https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/489090-economic-cost-of-the-cure-is-not-worse-than-the-disease-heres-why
  12. Is anyone really willing to sacrifice a loved one to aid "the economy"? Who would it be for you? Would you let your mom, your spouse, your child die as long as it did "the economy" a solid? I understand there is an economic impact of this, but we are nowhere near the "cure is worse than the disease" numbers. I will side with experts on what needs to be done....let's do our part, get on the other side of this curve and then start talking about how to save "the economy".
  13. As a hardcore Bond fan, this is very sad news. 94 is a pretty good run though.
  14. Voting is referred to as a "right" in the US Constitution. Throughout our history this right has been twisted into looking more like a privilege by those in power, hence only white property owners having the right, the addition of all races, the addition of women, so on and so forth. Even today we see US citizens who are denied this right because they are incarcerated or may lack proof of ID. Not trying to start a debate here, but this right has always been the easiest to suppress. https://www.fairvote.org/voting-a-right-a-privilege-or-a-responsibility https://www.usa.gov/voting-laws
  15. That's a fantastic build. I hope he gets a lot of use and success with it. Way to go Dad!
  16. Welcome to the forum!
  17. Proud to exercise my right to vote. Haven't missed a year since I turned 18!
  18. The ventilator discussion is just an amplified version of toilet paper hoarding. Sure, I don't need it now, but I don't want someone else to take it and the me need it, so I'd rather have it and not need it than let someone who needs it have it. Not saying it's right or wrong, I mean I say let them have them of they need them, but I'm not the be-all end-all of right or wrong. The possessive response is a pure fear reaction, nothing but human nature at work.
  19. That 6 point is a beauty. I've always liked the looks of big 6 pointers.
  20. Up to the individual, but if this is all I had to go by, it wouldn't be for me. With that being said, I can't tell much by the photo, my perspective might change if I had a better view.
  21. I had a feeling that's how you took it. No worries, and yes, we can agree on Jones
  22. What are we disagreeing about? I agreed with you that it wasn't fair to lump Alex Jones in with Fox because it gave him too much credibility, I'll take Fox reporting over someone like Jones any day, I see him as no more than an entertainer, a shock jock. I understand that you're not a fan of the media outlets that you listed, as I'm not a fan of Fox. It's fine, we all follow what fits with our worldview, I have no issues. I feel like we are barking up different trees here. I simply wanted to point out that a meme someone shared was false, and any amount of research will show that to be the case. Have your fun with it all you want, but it's still false, and people will believe it. Honestly, I would put neither of those comments past their respective false orators, I believed it when I saw the meme that Trump had said the "People are dying" comment. However, I looked into it before I started passing it along as the truth, and I'm glad I did because it was false.
