I have this Schrade also. Older version, really great and versatile. -

Crossbows are NOT more accurate than Compounds
Kmartinson replied to fasteddie's topic in Bow Hunting
I didn't. I'm more efficient with my new bow. I was saying everyone griping about crossbows sound like my dad griping about compounds 30+years ago. Sorry if my statement was confusing. I never said guns during archery. -
We have a big spot in central NY near Ithaca. Always looking for responsible like minded guys to join.

I do every time. Even at sea level. ;)

I'm not advocating anything. I'm pointing out things I see that are goofy. We were talking about various types of arrow flingers. I didn't see anything about firearms? -
I'm with ya. Also all of us shouldn't brag, there's only like 20 guys on here. I like the ability to see what's happening in the woods of ny in a day by day platform.... alot of the forum is nonsense, as long as I avoid the click bait I'm usually ok. Sometimes I just gotta troll a little bit.

It's all relative. You can take some pride in harvesting 2.5 and 3.5 yr old bucks in ny, with any effort you could go to a state with better genetics and bring home a larger buck by inches.

Upcoming Legislation Changes email from NDA

Almost only counts with horseshoes and had grenades.... Glad you would be able to more fully enjoy your season. BTW people do aquire places to hunt on private land by doing small chores and helping out around the property, just saying you may be alot happier if you could get off from this "unsafe, unproductive, low animal density public dirt" you always talk about. It seems like you really don't enjoy public land hunting sometimes and your comment's could be viewed as discouraging.... just saying. -
I only know 1 guy personally that has made that happen. I'm laughing at compound guys saying crossbows aren't fair comparison or that it's not as sporting to kill a deer with.... clowning.

Crossbows are NOT more accurate than Compounds

So you hunt with a handmade recurve? Or a 300+fps compound with sights and a release? Lol, idc what anyone uses.... good effective weapons for fast efficient kills. Much like the rest of the posts everyone is entitled to thier own choices. -

My father said the same thing when compound bows started to make all the advancements... I believe everyone should do thier own thing and be proud. -

Archery should be a privilege. -
That one was at my back door, lol.... its like everything else, it happens on a curve. No need to envy me. This all started when I kept getting discouraged at the situations dealing with snow geese hunting. I bought a house in farm country not far from 2 finger lakes and wrapped up a good goose lease out my back door right after I moved in. I've followed snow geese all over and been shut down at every end. I was lucky to have 1 tornado spin down on me in 4 years. After all that work and such little success I had to find something else to do. In short I make time for it. Sheds have a page on my huntstand ap. I get a few spots by asking to shed hunt only, it seems to help when you bring a kiddo along. I'm still running a dozen cameras. I scout and spotlight too and from work, I'll pick up a couple in turkey season. When the snow melts I'll be walking the military crests in public and intruding any known beds also, Ill find 3 or 4 on stateland every year. I even have people beeping and waving when I'm cruising through a buck rich environment at slightly under speed limit trying to get one out the window. I usually pull over. Lol. I like the bonezone!!!
