Another knife made by my uncle, gifted to me, this does all of my fieldwork, water and woods.
-
I thought that was a Kephart. Read alot about the guy, always wanted one, I wouldn't say it's a daily carry unless you live in the outdoors. Really pretty piece.

"Thats not a knife, this is a knife"..... it has only gutted 1 deer, 20 years ago. Was my father's, made for him by his brother. I think the flint comes from Knife River in western North Dakota. My uncle also killed whitetails and antelope with bows and arrows made completely from the land. He still shoots a recurve at 72yrs old and kills a respectable buck almost every year.

That bottom knife is a beauty. What is it?

Getting after those sheds?

Stacking them up

On public land or presured land, rain is a trigger for some of my adventures. This is not a crazy thought imo.

Good question. Lol. If I'm hunting with lots of snow still I will stick to trails that have big tracks and large poop. There are alot of factors that effect timing but usually I'm looking in beds and food sources with lots of sign especially large tracks. I try to be very thorough after the snow melts and before new grass grows. I'm avoiding places where I assume does live and I don't really hunt much ag.

Some grilled venison and potatoes. Just butter, salt and pepper tonight. Something green with a light Cesar dressing!

No dog, just a few years practicing. I treat it like any other hunting. I'm focused, I never take a walk and don't think I'll find an antler. Scout nights and weekends. Live to be outdoors. I take this time to go places where bucks live that normally I wouldn't want to go near. Probably around 1/2 of the sheds are from public land and I'm at mile 45. It takes some work but I enjoy it.

#11,12 I have walked within 30 yards of this at least 6 times.... pretty decent missed one, and a turd old ancient shed.

Definitely food everywhere again. Was an easy winter for them.

Lol, the nose is prime. They can see and hear you well. Very hard to trick a wise mature deer.

Thank you!!!!!...... and your hands aren't moving! If you dial it in the diaphram is great. I use double and triple because I think they are higher and lower pitch. Volume is a big part. Any call can work but imo the total range of diaphragm is pretty great. I spent a year running it basically daily and listened to wild bird recordings and tried mimicking them exactly. Some days I never touch the 2nd call and the bird is in there. Its probably the same with any call that you get to know well. The positive air flow could make a difference.

Home made chilli relleno! Tomato oregano sauce! Fried onion blooms! Delicious.... thank you google.

It's all about scouting and the right property, you can get them if your on the x with a dozen Canada geese decoys or even no spread. In turn you could putmout 1000 decoys and have them land 1 field away. They unfortunately are only here for a week or 2.

Like a goose. Iron rich, good if used properly.

I hope he fails

Hundred thousand plus!!! I follow the flocks back and try to get after then. If it gets warm like they are saying they will be gone next week. Short window of time to get under the spin!!!!

I figured when I saw the trash and the way you piled them. Cool

I'm still confused is it just lease deer on ag property or a deer farm?
-
Who cares, just another bum, rich jerk I can't relate to... at least he doesn't kneel to the anthem I guess. Sundays are for hunting not paying rich buttholes salaries.

There is so much information out there, I would buy my stuff from field and forest out of Oregon.
