I can sum it up if you'd like. 2% less money ($200 for every $10k) for the first $113,700. I'll edit this if I can find a good link, or just google "2% tax increase" and you'll get a bunch of hits. Here you go: http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/just-explain-it/why-taxes-going-2-next-just-explain-195724242.html

Boycott hunting license purchases
Sogaard replied to Jmac491's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Not buying hunting licenses would just mean the DEC would suffer, not the rest of the state that doesn't give a crap about the realities of keeping a herd healthy. -
Another deer through the window story.........
Sogaard replied to First-light's topic in General Chit Chat
:28 seconds into the video. Sure looks like its back left leg is broken to me. They don't mention the fate of the deer either, which, to me, is a sure sign of a not-so-happy ending. EDIT: With a little further research... http://ca.news.yahoo...-175133548.html SPOILER ALERT: The article ends with, "Sadly, the injured deer died a short time later." -
Actually, I'd pay to see that.

The technology we use today is already limited. For instance, you aren't allowed use a sight that "projects light beyond the body of the scope" (ie. red dots).
-
I hope the line gets drawn way before we get to this: http://www.nbcnews.com/technology/gadgetbox/futuristic-rifle-turns-novice-sharpshooter-1B7916613?ocid=msnhp&pos=1 Though I have to say, giving any novice the ability to hit a 700+ yd shot is pretty amazing from a technical stand point.

If 50 round drums were legal, it is still not going help someone with a .38 revolver.
-
Doesn't matter how big the magazine is if you can't shoot. I guarantee you, if I unload a .38 into an unarmored person at close range, they aren't driving away.

OMG HAZ HE TAKEN ALLZ UR GUNZ YET?!?!
Sogaard replied to Sogaard's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Sure do. And stop being so mean, you're really hurting my feelings with the name calling. -

Sogaard replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I've mentioned it in number of posts on gun control in the political forum, as well as recently here: If you missed that, then I apologize for my remark. You have been active in most of the political threads so I thought you would have read it before. -
Storing Guns - Cocked or uncocked?
Sogaard replied to Elmo's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I store mine "uncocked". -

And that is all that needs to be said about that. -
Is Martial Law On The Horizon?
Sogaard replied to 13BVET's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I don't like NDAA 2013 either. I find it funny that it is mostly liberals who are raising a fuss over this though. Many of his own party are upset that the President signed this bill into law after he initially threatened to veto it because of the provisions you are referring to. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/03/ndaa-obama-indefinite-detention_n_2402601.html -

This isn't the first time radical gun control has been proposed. I think I've stated where I stand on the subject more than once on different threads on this forum, no need to derail this. Hint: Since I'm in the market for a .223 semi-auto, I'm probably not in agreement with at least that part. -

And I stick by it. There is a big difference between proposed laws and actual laws. I would hold off on the "I told you so" for now. -
Is Martial Law On The Horizon?
Sogaard replied to 13BVET's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I was simply referring to the link you posted above, I don't think reagancoalition.com is a subsidiary of Yahoo. I might be mistaken though. Now that you've got me started though: Can you provide a link to the source material? I'd like to read it. PS: There is no irony in your post. -
Is Martial Law On The Horizon?
Sogaard replied to 13BVET's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Because you finally realized that small, crazy, right-wing "news" websites that you scour the interwebz for are probably not the best source of reliable, unbiased information. Or at least that's what I'm hoping the reason is. -
One piece of good news
Sogaard replied to joe12's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Key word there is "Proposed". The left has to propose outlandish things that will never fly so that the right can water them down and both sides can eventually agree to something realistic with neither side feeling emasculated. Isn't politics grand? -

To answer your question, no, no its not. -
One piece of good news
Sogaard replied to joe12's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I know, I was responding directly to the OP: "Hopefuly NYS does the same with the radical gun laws proposed recently." -
Isn't that the point?
