  1. Homework for the morning: Find the legal definition of "assault weapon". Read the legal definition of "assault weapon". Recant your statement. And calling ~2,750,000 of your fellow New Yorkers (~1,600,000 of which do not live in NYC) completely stupid, is...well, completely stupid.
  2. I can't find the part where is outlaws semi-automatic weapons and that people should expect the boogie man to be knocking on their doors to collect all firearms.
  3. Here's the thing that I don't get... Many people keep mentioning the word "tyrants", but all I see is a democratic process that voted in and approved laws that you happen not to agree with. New York has never been a gun-friendly state. Move to Texas if you're looking for that. This is the will of the majority, which, last time I checked, is the whole point of our system of government.
  4. Yes, it is funny that I had something better to do last night from than hang out online to potentially answer everything posted by nut jobs on an internet forum. Funny, and fortunate.
  5. I hear it is similar to chicken. Someone has knocked on your door to take away your guns? Did you fail the new mental health check? I'm sorry.
  6. Didn't you know, Steve? If you don't have a bunker and at least two fully automatic weapons stashed away in the walls of your house, you aren't pro-gun.
  7. Ask, and you shall receive: http://marvel.com/universe/Black_Panther_%28T%27Challa%29
  8. Of course I am, and I'm still right. That post was about the Federal Government, which hasn't done anything but talk as of yet. It was about pre-election fear mongering. There was very little change in the NY State legislature last November. These laws would have been passed regardless of the results of the Presidential election. Aren't you guys always preaching about state's rights anyway? Or is that only when you actually agree with the legislature? And even now, you really think those Republicans are voting for this because they've had a change of heart, or is it because of public pressure? They are the representatives of their constituents. Vote them out if they are not fairly representing the majority, or suck it up if they are.
  9. Oh yeah, someone's going to challenge me, so I'll save you with trouble. From Monticello.org, the place basically dedicated to everything Jeffersonian: http://www.monticello.org/site/jefferson/beauty-second-amendment-quotation
  10. Yeah, too bad there is absolutely no evidence that Jefferson ever said those words. Edit: Rephrased to make it G rated.
  11. Wow...the whole point of my post just went right over your head, huh? I linked a liberal site on purpose to show that the president's actions were unpopular with a lot of his own party. If I linked a FOXNEWS article that was critical of the president, what would that prove?
  12. He can say whatever he wants. That still doesn't mean something as radical as confiscation would get through the legislature. He's up for reelection in 2014, nothing crazy is going to happen between now and then.
  13. No Grow, I was addressing the initial question. No one is going to be coming to your door to collect guns.
  14. Damn, I'd take that ammo off your hands, but you're way out of my range. Good luck finding a buyer.
  15. Uh oh, you're sounding awfully like liberal sympathizer with his head in the sand! (If I wrote that exact same post, there would be a dozen people stepping up to tell me how wrong I am and how real the threat is!)
  16. Proven business model, just ask any pharmaceutical company.
  17. Oh come on CHC, putting those two things side by side and drawing any sort of parallel is completely ridiculous. One is matchstick and the other is the sun.
  18. Which was my point. I feel technology like this completely negates "fair chase".
  19. I know you're young and you like to jump on the bandwagon on all these threads, so I'm going to give you a pass on the stupidity of this statement.
  20. Ah...yeah, that sucks, especially after Christmas when people have a lot of bills to pay. The silver lining is that it will even out and you should see less money taken out at the end of the year for the 2013 huntin....err....holiday season.
