Proposed crossbow legislation for 2022
Four Seasons replied to nyslowhand's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Really takes months for some to get the job completed. Especially if meat is the only goal. Wonder how some would survive if they lived in those 3-4 week season states. -

Sounds like someone that made some of the top hunting grounds in the areas they are located in. I guess when you own your own property you can dictate all The Who’s,What’s and Where’s. Can’t say I have heard anyone that’s got the green light to hunt said properties complain yet. The best part is when you make great deer hunting land and have water supply that runs thru it there is a flood of about every other game animal and bird. Win-Win. -

All depends on the year, what I see on the properties worth going after, which end of the state I hunt, if and who I let on and my success on one or the other. -

Already do that by only taking big bucks off the properties. And the home farm does not get touched while I spend pretty much all of the Southern zone down there. -

Is what it is. Life goes along What do you think all these other states that have 1 week seasons do? Just think how much better the following year would be. -

Would love to see that. 1 week each implement and no guns during rut would even be better. -

Lol. That’s always a possibility but I give to many extras away every year for someone to need to do that. Unless of course it’s the rack their looking to snack on. And again. I don’t call minding my own business and letting others do the same condoning anything. Sad part is watching the idiots get away with stuff forcing some hands to have to make those choices. -

The state. Ha. Good one. The same ones that make the rules are the same ones that tell you that you don’t have a problem. Even though all the critters you once had are gone… only to be brought back in a few short years making their own decisions if they have a problem or not. Yes I know of a handful of older folks that carry their crossbow on any givin day they decide to go out in archery season. And if you think there won’t be more added on to the number of older folks in this state this year that do the same your a fool. I really don’t care if you think there stories or not. Again if you think it does not happen then think away. I would not care if you stole a loaf of bread just because you wanted to. If your ready to accept whatever repercussions from your actions then do you. These next 2 years coming are going to show you just how much crap going to go on in this country let alone just this state in the whole scheme of things. And if you don’t think that’s not going to trickle down into the hunting world then just keep pulling down those blinders. Laws are going to mean a little less as the time goes on. By Many! -

I don’t need to justify anything. As far as the guys taking care of what’s theirs is not a new idea. They have been doing it for years. As far as the game is concerned, if it’s standing on my property causing damage it is my game to deal with today. All because of some idiot that’s clueless to game makes laws that hurt landowners. As far as the crossbow goes, if I need to use it at anytime to continue to do what I enjoy that would be an easy choice. You can call it poaching or anything else. People are going to call it doing what they gotta do. -
Another Mass shooting this time in Texas
Four Seasons replied to First-light's topic in General Chit Chat
Exactly. Thing is that that whole generation was made to have fools like that. Video games, kids in school calling themselves and acting like Cats and 8 different choices when someone asks the question of their sex. Put all that in the pile with what the idiots in charge are doing to peoples lives today and you are going to see these types of things over and over. Ya know the strange thing is is that there are kids killed in about every Democratic ram state on a nightly basis that adds up to more then killed in this shooting yet it’s crickets on those stories. -

Just what happened with our land and many others that took things into their own hands. Some like to say it’s poaching when in the real world it’s taking care of what’s yours. The same ones that think these properties are getting poached or whatever has never hunted properties like these. There is actually small game and game birds. You won’t see that in many numbers on most properties. -

Your stuck in the mud on the first part of this whole conversation. Those people have been and will continue to take care of their interests regardless of what others say and these idiots in charge today are now pushing the common folk if you will…To do the same. You know, The ones without all that coin. -

Just going to keep the fires burning. This policy getting shot down for the reason it was yes will indeed push some to say F it and carry on. The Democrats killing the rest of the world will also force people to say F it and carry on doing whatever it takes to get them thru their lives easier. And if that is saving money on tags and killing whatever it takes to fill their need then that is just what they are going to do. It’s not like it’s not already done on a daily basis it’s just going to push the rest a little more. To each their own. -

And that’s just what some people in this state are getting together and changing. Takes land no doubt but those that can are taking things into their own hands. Just as many will put a crossbow in their hands during archery season. Just a fact. -

Yeah that’s all well and good until it’s not. You make it sound like it does not already happen. You think guys that take care of their property does not shoot yotes every chance givin or destroy dens on their property? Happens a lot. You think people with private land hunt without even buying a license? Happens a lot… And will even more now. You think Joe up the road does not fill every family member’s tags every year? Happens a lot. People are going to do whatever it takes to take care of them and theirs and even more so now. These idiots turning this crossbow thing down for no reason whatsoever…Except party and probably a payoff from Ny Bow Assoc.. are just a dot on the map of what people are getting sick of. But the good news is your free to do you and you don’t have to worry about what others are doing. -

Exactly. So you do you and worry not what others do. You want to let someone shit on something of yours then that’s on you. Others will do what it takes to take care of theirs and their own. If it takes breaking the laws of some idiot in a tie that’s never been in the woods then I can promise you they are ready for any repercussions from such actions. 80’year old bow hunting landowner that has paid taxes on his property his whole life and can no longer pull back a bow wants to take his crossbow on his own property every day of the week…You won’t see me looking to call the Belo cops on him I can promise ya that. -

That won’t happen on these lands I can promise you that. It’s all about taking care of your own. -

Exactly. And people are not going to sit back and let these idiots in charge have any more to do with their lives then they have to. They will do whatever it takes to get thru their day and their lives. -

Ya know I read your post right down to where you said. Just think how you would feel if most deer were gone on your hunting grounds…. Now you picture those people I speak of paying 10-15plus grand a year for taxes only to have some idiot…. Like the ones that voted this down again for no reason…. To be making the laws that are were wiping out all of our small game and knocking the shit out of the turkeys and the deer. All I’m telling you is that it’s happening and it’s going to continue to happen all across this state with these idiots in charge ruining peoples lives in about every aspect. It will continue to get worse. Do I care? Not a bit. They do them and you do you and I will do me. Period. -

Four Seasons replied to nyslowhand's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Exactly. Belo don’t like the idea of people doing their own thing but people are so sick of these idiots right now just sucking the life out of people they are going to make their own rules and live by them. You think tags will matter now that meat is so expensive? People will care less about any harvest numbers. -

Looks like the Democrats strike again. Bill failed, Republicans are the minority and they lost like 18-11 or such matter. No reason for failure givin. Such is today’s world. Maybe when Republicans get back in numbers more older guys will be able to hunt again in the nice weather. -

Easy sweetheart. Telling the facts of life is promoting nothing. It does seem as though you have an affiliation with sperm for some reason. Don’t worry, We don’t judge. -

Four Seasons replied to nyslowhand's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Exactly. Only in Ny. Hence the reason many pay no heed to the stupidity and do them. -
The Asshat is to blame for sure. But the Asshats that sit back and say oh this kid threatened this and this kid said he was going to do that and did absolutely nothing are included under that hat.
-
Exactly. And do you notice these idiots say this kid threatened this and that 3 months ago, was on line saying exactly what he was and his thoughts yet they are not smart enough to even throw a red flag up to Nic’s when he went to buy weapons? The government is almost as much to blame as this kid. Then the Democrats push and use the “White” kid as their scapegoat when 2 weeks ago their “Black” shooter in Ny might have gotten 10 minutes of air time. Again would take an idiot to not see thru their agenda and vote for that crap.
