I'm going to be curious to see the bear numbers for 3P. One of the main things everyone I spoke to was the lack of bears this year or even bear sign.

It's my understanding from what others have written on other sites that it's the same as 777. The differance being that it's not dyed and leaves white residue.

Seems like alot of people are watching to much TV. Your not in Kansas anymore. In the area that I hunt that would be considered a real good deer. I'd shoot him.

I have an endeavor with a muzzleloader and a 7mm rem barrel. Shoots well, I like it.

I usually just use google earth or bing maps. You might try mytopo.com. As a nahc member your supposed to get a 10% discount. Don't know if they do the island or not.

I heard on the news the other day that the Jersey deaths were due to a disease being transmitted to the deer by insect bites. I also received the email from the DEC about Rockland county. I imagine it's probrably the same disease being transmitted there as well.

You might want to check out Sterling Forest, it's over by Tuxedo not to far away. It's a state park, but you need an access pass for $5.00 to hunt. Look them up or give them a call, they'll send you an application. You'll find deer and a fair amount of black bear there.

Anyone have any first hand experience with elimitick clothing by gamehide? Seems every year I spend a small fortune on Permethrin sprays. They say there's a synthetic Permthrin fiber woven into the fabric. If it works that would be great since everywhere I hunt seems to be loaded with ticks.

I can't help but check the price of gas when I pass by stations here on Long Island these days. Yesterday the place I usually get mine at was at 3.77 in the morning. 3.79 by midday, and when I went to fill up in the evening 3.81.
