Thanks guys!!!!! Had a great day. No trout tonight Law, she made chicken fettuccine alfredo & we had key lime pie too. Nice!

We had a great week. Just got back from camp today. My son got a nice one on his first cast. Fishing was good on Wednesday and Thursday morning, but turned into a washout after that. The warm weather and rain turned the creek too muddy until yesterday.

So do you think NYS will expand the crossbow season

I've gotta run to Field & Stream, and get me some of those Jesus guided arrows. -
I'm getting nervous that the water won't be warm enough for there to be a lot of fish up Naples creek yet. Cold days and colder nights, no warm rain, only a little snow melt runoff. They don't like low 30 something degree water too much. Maybe a tough opening day, but it's a tradition either way.

Because you guys up there are just so awesome, we can't help but try to be like you. We figure by moving up there, a little of your awesomeness will rub off on us pitiful downstaters.

I got another good one. I just saw it the other day for the first time & I think it's going to be one of my favorites. The movie Lawless, it's about bootleggers / moonshiners. There's a great gunfight in that one.

Open range. Robert Duvall kicks ass in the shootout at the end.

They shocked Naples creek yesterday. Not a ton of fish up there yet supposedly. Hopefully the water warms up a little before the season so a good run comes up.

Well that sure explains a lot! I was wondering why Rachael Ray bought so much advertising on this site.

She must not be too up on her bible reading. Acts 10:13 "get up Peter, kill and eat" Leviticus 11 "These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth." Genesis 9:3 "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything." Just to list a few.

Contact the manager. If they won't help you, try the corporate offices. Someone will listen. Ridiculous.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Well done Mike!

Honest mistake Lawdwaz. I bet those guys have never had a problem because even the encon guys don't know it's not allowed.

Don't worry Buddy, you're so cute & cuddly that no warden would've been able to ticket you anyhow.

My part of region 8 is tough. Forget about anything on the north end. Braddock bay wma is not very big, & has very little turkey habitat. Oak openings unique area in Honeoye falls is nice (seen turkeys & sign there), but crowded for it's size. I've hunted squirrel & rabbit there, and I've seen other hunters every time. I drive by the parking area often, & during turkey or deer season, the lot is crowded. Honeoye creek wma is also pretty small. If You're around Naples, Hi Tor wma is huge and it has a lot of turkey, but it's well known and gets a lot of pressure. The trail system is pretty extensive & makes it hard to get away from other hunters. I still try there though, & I'd say give it a shot. Late season is my favorite time to hunt state land, I still see hunters, just not as many. Public land is frustrating, but birds get killed there. Maybe it'll be you that Kills one this year. Good luck!

Please tell us you're joking.

I'm going to take my Excalibur out too. Just not for opening day.

Exact same gun and load, it wrecks 'em! I'm sticking with the Winchesters.

This will be my son's first year. Can't wait for the youth hunt, we're both really excited.

Democrats Reload On Ammo Ban

Doesn't affect me, I hunt with a shotgun. (Kidding) -
They're not legal in NY, but I'd try it if they were.

That's really cool.
