  1. it's great, gives you something else to fight about who stays home and watches the kids who gets the best stand just joking, it is great, with one exception, sunday I took my two daughters and wife hunting do you have any idea how hard it is to get 3 females ready and out of the house by 5am
  2. very confident, I would never take a shot I wasn't 100% sure of however a guy who only shoots a little and always of a bag, probably should NOT be taking these shots as a kid we started shooting running rabbits front of beagles, then birds, then deer, if you want to learn how to follow through, start bird hunting, if you can consistently nock down birds your on the rite path
  3. I know, I know, they figure they missed and keep hunting seen it to many times me on the other hand, I have no problem shooting running deer however with all the 20 yard broadside standing still .. wounded deer I read about on here...they probably should figure out how to kill one sleeping, and move up from there .....
  4. it's funny, I've some of the best archery tournament shooters, who couldn't kill a deer to save there lives, they just get rattled and some guys I crushed on a 3D course who's walls are full of trophy's I get it some guys are lazy slobs true, however there's some guys you look down on, and you're NOT hunter enough to carry there jockstrap
  5. her and her sister are going to be hell on the wildlife population in a couple years
  6. congrats some good shooting this was a better morning for us as well, the birds are finally flying, I was just cleaning birds, my 9 year old daughter grabbed my calls and had a small group working into my yard, that was funny
  7. used blocks growing up, except we use electric fence wire and 4X4"s you can buy a 1000' spool cheap at any farm store
  8. starting Monday get ready they're coming
  9. why not use a centerfire, you can kill them with an air gun, but use a rimfire and you'll chase more and lose more than you want with the new regs, maybe a .17 hornet, .204, you can use it all season
  10. my guess, maybe he was trespassing, got his pic taken and freeked a little maybe he was trying to erase his pic, and got them all
  11. I have a hasting cantilever on my 870, it's been there 20 years, and it's been beat to hell never lost zero, I used to swap it out for the vent rib, and stayed true every year
  12. you need to buy a special migration stamp, and don't forget to register HIP http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6405.html
  13. you keep telling yourself that, teach ethics, not ego the proper range, would be 10 to 15 yards, these guns are designed to kill people up close they were never designed to deer hunt ethics, some will never get it, just because it's legale, don't mean it's right
  14. remember just because somthing is legal don't make it right if I hear about 1 more person hunting with a 4" barrelled .40cal I'm going to lose my mind
  15. 50 yards with iron sights, 100 with a scope, average hunter hornady XTP's are about the best i have seen
  16. Joey, always takes good care of you been doing business there for over 20 years
  17. Pav, I was only 16 when I got my first 90# bow I shot it good at around 103# It was just easier for me to hold more weight I had a hell of a time switching to a 70# bow, I do alright with it now, but it took a while
  18. for 20 years I shot between 100# and 105# now I shoot 73#, for some reason, it's easier for me to hold more weight steady, I just got tired of special ordering bows
  19. sounds like all my friends, I'm broke. blah, blah, blah work some overtime, hell no, I have stuff to do,
  20. not revolutionary yet, but pissed, yes it would have to pass the senate, assembly and governors desk first, use your head if they did it with the safe act, why not this I've just about had it, I will stick it out until the next election, if things don't change, if we cant band together and change who's in office, then everyone in this state deserves what they get... and I will be bailing on this welfare state
  21. remember, just about every rifle caliber, is also a pistol caliber, encore....contender and AR's come in several calibers to, 204,223, 243, 308,
  22. yeah, that's what they said about the safe act, how did that work for us sorry way past ruffled feathers
