  1. Think what you want but I'm not retracting or backtracking from my earlier statement. It makes me and I'm sure many others on this forum and around the country wonder why these mass shootings seem to peak during election years. It also leads me to wonder if they are set up for purposes of increasing gun control. Haven't you read or heard about all the conspiracy theories behind 9/11? I read many different articles and stories about 9/11 and the conspiracies alleged behind them. Do I believe them? No but it made me wonder if they can be true when I read them.
  2. As Skillet said, I'm not blaming or implying anything. You can make whatever inference you want to make from the facts as I observed and presented above. But doesn't it make you wonder why these tragedies do seem to spike in election years?
  3. I am joking about the set ups but it makes me wonder why most of the time these shootings happen during an election year. April 1999 - Columbine during an election year - GW Bush became president in 2000 July 1999 - A gunman kills nine people at two brokerages in Atlanta, after apparently killing his wife and two children. He commits suicide five hours later. Also during Bush election campaign November 2004 - Six people are killed when Chai Soua Vang, a 35-year-old Hmong immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen, shoots eight people while deer hunting east of Birchwood in northern Wisconsin. April 2007 - Virginia Tech Massacre February 2012 - A student opens fire in a cafeteria at Chardon High School in Ohio, killing three students and injuring two others before being arrested. April 2012 - A gunman, identified by police as Korean-American One Goh, kills seven people and wounds three others in a shooting rampage at a Christian college in Oakland. July 2012 - The Arizona shooting and now yesterday's shooting all during election years. Anyone else see a connection?? I know that there are others between election years but most have occurred during election years over the last 20 years.
  4. Makes me wonder especially when these shootings have happened during an election year.
  5. Just found out that my niece's best friend, her aunt was one of the hostages. Watching it on CNN now 7 dead including gunman taken out by first cop who showed up on scene. Cop in surgery with multiple gunshot wounds.
  6. Here we go again.. I think these mass shootings are all set up by the antis so they can muster support from the publc to ban firearms.
  7. Is that the headless horseman I see riding through the foggy woods???
  8. Excellent photos. Thanks for sharing!
  9. For those of you who dont live on Long Island, in case you dont know, traffic really sux big time. So Last Saturday we drove my daughter to Penn State for fencing camp. We made it from Oyster Bay to State College PA in a little over 4 hrs and back in 5 hrs due to torrential downpours. Of course it was a Saturday and traffic was not so bad. But yesterday that same four hour drive going to pick her up turned into 6+. We decided to leave around 10:30am to let rush hour die down. Well that plan didn't work. What normally takes 1/2 hour to get from my house in Oyster Bay to the G Washington bridge (15 miles) took TWO long hours in bumper to bumper traffic on the Clearview and then on the X-Bronx. Two hours to go 15 miles is downright ridiculous. So instead of getting there at 2:30 we got there at 4:30. We pick up our daughter and decide to avoid the rush hour by stopping and eating at a place in town called Bill Pickles tap room. First time i ever had fried pickles and peanut butter wings. (That was the best part of the trip). So we head back at 5:30 for another long drive. We get onto I-80 and for about 1 1/2 hrs i'm flying down the road. After stopping for a pee break and switching with my wife in 5 minutes we are at a complete standstill on I-80. Major accident left of two lanes closed. Arrggghhh! So we sit in a stand still moving at a pace slower than a slug for about an hour. Finally it clears and we are moving again without incident. What aggravated me more was that we reach the GW at about 9:50pm and we make it to our exit 29 on the Northern State at 10:10p. It took us only 20 minutes from the tolls at GW to my exit. Twelve miserable long hours on the road. Aside from the pickles and wings the 2nd best part of the day was opening up my Infiniti G37 on I-80 once the accident cleared. It felt GOOD especially after sitting in traffic. Sorry for the ranting and thanks for listening....um..... I mean reading! LOL! Oh yeah. Forgot this was a hunting forum. I saw lots of doe feeding along the side of the road and three dead big doe within a 1/4 mile stretch on I-80 in PA.
  10. yes it works but there is no view finder so you don't know what you filmed until you connect to computer. it also works with an android phone Here is the link to the website. www.looxcie.com BTW it also doubles as a bluetooth earpiece to connect to your bluetooth cell phone. Just be aware that if your car/truck has a built in bluetooth system, it will interfere with the connection between the Looxcie and your phone.
  11. I have both an iphone and ipad. The app is free too.
  12. Welcome Mark! NFA-ADK explained this forum very well!
  13. I swear by my Looxcie wearable bluetooth video camera. It only shoots 480 x 640 but it is pretty clear and can be controlled by my Iphone or Ipad. Can't wait to test it out this fall in the woods. Here is a video of my dog I took with the Looxcie: http://s1099.photobucket.com/albums/g382/jmasiakos/?action=view&current=056bf1f7.mp4
  14. Im definitely going to test this out with my bushnell trophy cam.
  15. 63 days to go.....

  16. Take camera, delete pictures, leave note on tree with name and number of local DEC officer.
  17. Thats a great camera at a great price. Usually go for $170
  18. I read that some of the victims were in the military. One was an Iraq War Veteran who survived because the shooter's AR jammed. I wonder if he or any of them were carrying and whether they had a chance to return fire or would have returned fire. I've never been in the military and don't know if they are permitted to CC when not on active duty.
  19. Thanks WNY and Ants. Feeling better just thinking about getting out to shoot.
