We see Turkey Vultures flying around on a daily basis . My neighbor has an 8 week old Doberman puppy . I told him to keep an eye on the dog as there was at least 2 dozen of the buzzards circling around .

Saw that a long time ago but it's still funny !

I recently spent $6,500 on a young registered Black Angus bull. I put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow. I was beginning to think I had paid more for that bull than he was worth. Anyhow, I had the vet come and have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day. The bull started to service the cows within two days, all my cows! He even broke through the fence and bred with all of my neighbor's cows! He's like a machine! I don't know what was in the pills the vet gave him... but they kind of taste like peppermint.

Not fooling .... He has the target set across a ditch before it slopes up so the arrows are going in like they would a target . I think the 470 grain skinny arrows have a lot to do with it .

Yeah , I was bustin' his chops and suggested he pick up an old mattress for a backstop . Part of the problem is the new release . It doesn't clamp around the string . Instead , it has sort of a hook that latches on the string and is quite sensitive ...

Luckily , these FMJ's are able to be detected the full length of the shaft . Can't do that with my carbons . I was impressed with the fact that they could go through 28" of dirt . He no doubt will have a problem recovering an arrow on a pass through . The bow is set at 47 lbs but can be crankud up a bit .

My youngest son bought a Matthews Creed XS with a new sight , rest , special release and stabilizer . He also purchased some Easton FMJ shafts . He had 1/2 of them fletched with feather vanes . He had previously been shooting 850 grain arrows with his other bow . That's right 850 grains . Anyway , the FMJs have some excellent penetration . He was shooting out back on a 5 acre parcel in the country . He inadvertantly hit the release and sent an arrow over the target . I took my metal detector down to his home and found the arrow burried full length under the turf . Once I found it , I looked from front to back and couldn't see any of it until I pulled it out . Well , Sunday he did it again so when I went to Geneseo Monday I took my metal detector to Honeoye Falls and found it again . The ground was soft but it was buried 3/4" onder the ground . It's a skinny shaft but I am impressed with the penetration . His present arrows are about 470 grains .
