My youngest son has the Sitka camo . It's too expensive for my blood ! It's real nice looking though .

I bought the Lifetime Sportsman's License when they had them for $50 for us old guys . The anterless permits are free . When I turned 70 , I no longer had to pay for the Archery or ML tags . Thanks guys for picking up the slack !

Saw an old squirrel under the feeder this am .............

Several years ago a farmer from Mendon was explaining on TV how much money the Family Farm business was losing each year ( several thousand dollars ) due to the nuisance deer coming from the parks to their crops . He said he had hunters reduce the deer numbers by shooting them using permits .I visited the guy and got my foot in the door . Now 2 of my sons and myself help do this . I have never encountered a pregnant doe in mid July . It has been too hot to go out but I expect maybe this weekend or next week the weather may cool a bit . We can also hunt the properties during Bow and Gun seasons . The permit states : "This permit authorizes the Killing and/or Harassing of deer causing damage to corn , beans , and grain by ; shooting . "

At 10:43 pm , my thermometer reads 86 degrees here in Ontario .

Shot another dozen arrows a little while ago . Plan to start shooting daily . In past years I had shot through the winter months . I guess I had a relapse .

I'll shoot in the basement for a couple weeks before moving outside . Right now it's too hot to shoot outside anyway ......

Wegman's won't carry it either .

I have neglected to shoot my bow in several months . It's the 1st time in many years that I have done this . I had cut and fletched some new arrows and wanted to try them out so I went down to my basement where I have an 11 yard range . Shot 18 times and I could feel it . I better get cracking and start shooting on a daily basis as Bow Season starts in less than 2 1/2 months .

I pay $12.50 for plates and $75 for insurance . For $87.50 , I am legal . $3500 sounds like a great deal for the machine . Someone should grab it up .

And ..... that makes it legal . Just stopping to pick it up , isn't .

I have never picked up any roadkill and I don't think it is legal to do so ........ A guy I went to school with took the head of a roadkill buck and was going to have it mounted . He is a braggart and someone reported the incident . The DEC went to his home and demanded the deer remains . If he hadn't given it up they would have pressed charges .

Quit squeezing the mouse and maybe the voice will go away !
