  1. My wife had a tendon repair in her foot last year . We rented a "knee scooter" for her to use . It had an adjustable knee platform , brakes and it steered with a handle . It was much better than crutches for her to get around on . Just a thought .
  2. They used to suggest hanging bars of soap . Don't know if it works or not .
  3. Tractor Supply has had their batteries on sale for the past month . If you need any 9 volt batteries for the smoke detector , etc , they were put on clearance --- 4 for $2.50 .... can't beat that .
  4. The Light / Battery to make a lighted nock weighs a measley 11 grains .........
  5. G&R ---Sorry you got your panties in a Knot about the "jail time" . Apparently either you didn't see the smiley face or lack a sense of humor . As for keeping deer out of the plants , the Coyote Pee I mentioned works . I thought you were looking for a solution of keeping the deer away . Apparently I was wrong !
  6. I am hoping that it will be Broncos and Packers with Green Bay winning ..........
  7. The guy found the phone and didn't turn it in to anyone . Pretty close to stealing . I found a phone , did a lookup on it and saw that it was Verizon and turned it in at a Verizon Store .
  8. I think it's a pretty neat idea but I don't think I would want to hunt with those . Seems like they had some sort of explosive heads on arrows that were legal down south ( Alabama or louisiana ) about 15 - 20 years ago .
  9. For about $3 , you can make your own . It's not that difficult . Even us old folks can do it .
  10. Go ahead and feed them . You will probably still be able to post here from your Jail cell . Some of the farm market stores sell Coyote Pee > I bought a bottle at Aman's Farm Market in Irondequoit a few years ago . An 8 oz bottle cost me $8 . It worked . I shared it with another person as I wasn't sure how long it would last . Hang a few cloths on some plants and every 3 - 4 days put some of the coyote pee on the cloths . Tampons actually work better but could be considered unsightly .
  11. I signed up for another 5 years a last February for $100 . I recently got a e-mail Newsletter from the NRA with an opportunity to join for 5 years at a price of $125 . It was a general newsletter so they weren't coming to me for more money .
  12. I went to Geneseo to get mt Outhouse Blind and took a trail camera along . I was surprised to see so many tracks all over the place . The deer were hiding during the season but know they are safe now . I only saw one deer while trudging through the crispy , crusty snow . Any deer had to hear me coming from a long ways off . All the tracks were quite impressive . Also saw several spots where deer had bedded .
  13. I have known this couple for at least 30 years and there is no way they will change . If it wasn't illegal to feed deer , I would like to place a trail of corn to their garden !
  14. Uhhhhhh , did it make you brake any faster ?
  15. Ever think of putting a chain-on on one of those boat masts ?
  16. Paula ---- check with the guys at Auto Zone . They would know . The guys at the Auto Zone in Webster won't try to sell me anything I don't need and I would hope the ones near you are just as honest .
  17. People will come up with all sorts of BS reasons of why they won't spend $30 to fight for gun rights . If you don't want to join don't . Just don't post the BS replies . You can call the number and tell them not to call you and they won't . If I get mail from them , it just goes in the recycle bin . What's the big deal ? I
  18. A good friend of mine and his wife do NOT allow anyone to hunt on their property . They are not anti hunters they just won't let anyone hunt the apple farm . Neighbors on 2 sides hunt and have been given permission to retrieve deer from the farm if necessary . Anyway several of our church group were at their home yesterday for brunch . My friend showed me where the deer mowed down their Swiss Chard and I laughed . He said it wasn't funny . I told him it would be funnier if the deer came during the summer months and ate the whole damned garden and that he needs someone to come over and thin out a few of those deer . That will never happen ! He said the deer never touched the parsley and I told him no one eats parsley . He asked me a couple years ago why I never offered him any venison and I told him that I would give him some venison from the 1st deer I got from his property .
  19. Nice pics and video . I have never used the video on any of my cameras .
  20. I use a Lee hand held primer . I open the primer box far enough to expose 50 primers ( if that's the number of cases I plan to prime ) . I take the cover off the hand primer and hold it upside down over the primers . Then turn everything over so the hand primer is upright . The primer disk is rippled and you lightly tap the side of the primer tool and the upside down primers upright themselves . Place the cover on the tool and start priming your brass . You never touch the primers with your fingers . Note : Make sure you have the proper shell holder in the hand primer .
  21. Sorry Paula ...... The devil made me do that !
  22. Tractor Supply was selling hunting stuff and they have a Game Camera on clearance for about $50 . I should have checked the brand and looked to see if there were any reviews .
  23. I don't think either is a multi use fluid so I would go with brake fluid for brakes and steering fluid for the steering . Make sure to check you turn signal fluid every couple of years .
  24. When you work on reloads ..... no radio , no TV , no phone and no distractions . When I go to the basement to reload I tell my wife don't bother me until I come back upstairs .
