  1. Sooooo , you are saying that size doesn't matter ?
  2. I am not saying that . I am just stating that you should check out the camera with a card that you plan to use . That way , if it doesn't , you won't be disappointed by checking a camera that you leave out only to find no photos .
  3. This is where I hunt in Geneseo . The wind was blowing at about 17 mph when I made this short video http://s271.photobuc...sharyns2011.mp4
  4. I sometimes wear a mix of Blaze orange .
  5. If the spell check was left on ----- a lot of folks wouldn't be able to post ! Sum foks jes cain't spail ! Try spelling a word wrong on purpose and see if you get a wavy red line under that word .
  6. Go Rangers and take the Yankees with ya !!!
  7. That would put the Rein Deer in jeopardy !
  8. Great pics Wooly , especially the pic of the Yote .
  9. I don't own any property to have food plots and I don't hunt any property with food plots but I don't see anything wrong with them . I just think it's foolish to hear someone state that a field where animals can come and go in any direction for food and a pile of corn are the same ! No doubt , someone is bored .................
  10. I don't know why those Crappers are called Canada Geese . They never leave New York !
  11. So no hunting farm fields , near oak trees or apple orchards . What a crock !!!
  12. http://www.network54.com/Forum/414006/message/1325263997/My+2011+Muzzleloaded+Deer+with+Air
  13. I am assuming you are trying to be funny . The Blaze Orange vest is a thin sleeveless article of clothing that doesn't add a bit of warmth or retain moisture .
  14. Like Culver was saying , a food plot could be a 1/4 acre , 5 acres , etc .. Baiting is a pile of apples , corn , etc concentrated in one spot . If it was legal , I would prefer to hunt over a bait pile 20 yards from a stand rather than watch over a field . It would be a whole lot easier to draw a deer to a spot rather than a field . Guys that bait try to tell us that they are the same thing which is BS ............
  15. I found that it is well worth it to read the directions before assembling . When I 1st started putting the kids stuff together (assembling) , I figured it was easy enough to do until I got to a certain point and had to disassemble parts to finish the task . Much of this stuff is complicated even with directions !
  16. I plan to try to shoot my bow in the basement 3 - 4 times a week starting January 1st . Cut and fletch some new arrows and do some reloading for my son . I broke one of my bow sights that I like quite well and plan to contact the company to see if I can buy the part I need rather than the whole sight . Gotta get my hunting stuff organized also !
  17. Check out the SD card in the camera before you put it out . I bought some 4 GB cards and put one in the camera . Went back after a week and pulled the card . No pics . Card had to be formatted . The 1st time ever that I had to do any formatting !
  18. The thing that bothered me was the girl laughing !
  19. I have gone to a few of the shows and they have been a bit of a disappointment to say the least . $8 - $10 to get in and then the dealers want too much for nothing . After saying all that I will probably go anyway .
  20. The straps that I have gotten with the stands are pretty narrow and I don't care for them . I buy straps from Tractor Supply when they have them on sale ( about $2.50 each ) .
  21. I noticed that the Ladder Stands at DICKs are on sale . I took a look at them and they changed them . Instead of the metal seat with the seat pad , they have a web seat . They had something that worked well and screwed it up !
  22. I have an old chain-ons have the tree grow around them .......... Replace the rachet straps and I never use the straps that come with the stands .
  23. You can always GOOGLE for info .................... or contact the local DEC for information . These are the only ones on the DEC site so far . http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9191.html
  24. Once the groups tighten up , I go to spots . Snapping nocks , ripping fletching and Robin Hoods gets expensive .
  25. It's good to see it in writing . Al Kirch , who responded the 2nd time , is the guy that I try to get hold of for any info . About the only time I see any of the DEC guys is at a Sportsmen's Banquet or at the Region 8 Hunting Days in September in Avon . If you ask two different DEC officers the same question you may get two separate answers .
