A couple years I bought a pair of Heated Footbeds and forgot about them . They are insoles that you trim to size for your boots and they have removable filler plugs that you take out and replace with footwarmer pads . Another failed mission . Sat in the stand in Groveland for 3 1/2 hours Friday afternoon . It was cold this am and I had to let the car run for a few minutes to defrost the car windows . Was in my stand by 6am in Geneseo today .Heard maybe a dozen shots between 8:15 and 9 am .Finally got out of the stand at 10:45 . Went up to my SIL's house and helped her repair her electric fence as one of her horses got loose yesterday . Went down and sat in the stand in the laneway for an hour and then took a walk to the woods to see if I could kick something loose . Nuttin ! Walked up to my vehicle and grabbed a sandwich and some water . Put the shotgun away and got out the ML . At 2:30 I called my SIL and let her know that I was still there and that I had heard a few shots about 2 fields west of her property . Saw 2 deer running across the field west of her property and 5 minutes later they were hauling butt across her wheat field . Those were the only deer I saw in 2 days . Both were bucks and the lead buck was a dandy ! Took a couple pics with the Bino-Cam ( 8X bino with a 5X picture taking capability ) . They were at least 200 yards out .

Just got a report from my son . He didn't see a thing and heard a few shots coming from the Avon Road direction . I am leaving for Groveland in a few minutes to sit out and freeze my butt off ! See ya later .

Two years ago I was driving to Webster . I got off Rt 104 going to Rt 250 . Across Rt 250 I saw a huge buck standing at the on ramp leading to North Ponds Park standing in the road . We used to see some nice bucks around the Xerox buildings . There are a lot of deer in the village of Webster !

That clears things up !

I plan to go to Groveland to hunt tomorrow afternoon . If no luck , I will stay overnight and hunt Geneseo in the am . My oldest son wants to hunt the stand that I set up tomorrow am with his pistol . I hope he changes his mind !

I bought the sled at DICKs for about $40 after my oldest son lost my other one . It's sturdy plastic and if there is a person on each side , the two can lift with a deer in it and place into a PU bed , etc . without it bending . I tried some Under Armor and didn't care for the fit . Since the clothing is Polyester and polyester Fleece , how can one be so much better that another . I had an inexpensive polyester camo shirt on with another polyester insulated shirt on over it . I perspired while driving to my location . When I dresses up , I was concerned but my shirt dried out quick . So , it makes me wonder if sometimes we aren't just paying for NAME .

Good luck Burt . I am hoping that some hunters will be out Saturday and getting the deer moving . Forecasted to be sunny but still cold . Brrrrrrr !

Still no luck but apparently I am the Good Samaritan ....... I repaired a Permanent stand in the woods and my son shot a doe opening day from that stand with his 44 mag pistol . I hunted from that stand the following week and saw zilch . I busted my butt getting the ladder stand that my oldest son had taken down and put it up at a willow tree overlooking a cat tail area and winter wheat field . Sat in the stand that afternoon and didn't see a thing . My youngest son wanted to hunt with me today so I had him use the ladder stand that I had put up in the Willow . He shot a doe with the 12 ga at 20 yards this am . He almost shot my decoy . Nick got down from the stand just past 10 am , walked up to his truck , got some different clothes on and we took my ATV down to where the doe was laying . I took a walk down to the woods while he field dressed the deer . The water doesn't drain off and the woods was like a swamp . I didn't kick anything up and went back to the ATV . Hauled the deer up to Nick's truck . Loaded it up and he left . Anyway , I havn't had a shot but I made it easy for my 2 sons to take a couple deer and that's fine with me . That's what Dads are for . I finally saw a doe around 3:45 pm and she seemed to be slowly working my way . The wind was from the West and she was 140 yards south of me . As she worked her way toward my direction she was obstructed by some brush but was looking toward the creek and thick stuff south of her . I needed her to move another 30 yards west but she bolted and ran off . At 4:30 I got out of the blind and grabbed my scent wicks and checked out the lane-way . I saw a doe feeding in the adjacent field about 150 yards out . There were horses beyond the deer so I wasn't about to shoot . Here is the doe and how i haul them out ....

Sounds like you got "dicked" ! Sometimes the stores get wrapped up in technicalities and are unsure what to do .

I had always gotten the brands Wildgame and WildView mixed up . I have had terrible luck with WildView but have heard positive things about WildGame cameras . I don't know anything about this particular camera model .

I do a lot of my venison into burger and the Jerky Shooter is the nuts for making Jerky I am too lazy to make marinade so I buy the packages of stuff that you add water , vinegar and oil to . The best marinade mix I ever bought is Durkee's Peppercorn but I havn't been able to get that in a couple years . McCormick makes some Peppercorn / Garlic but it doesn't have the 'zing" that Durkee's has . The Jerky made with the Shooter holds together very well and you wouldn't know it was made from burger .

I hear a lot of folks talking Under Armor . It it that much better than Rocky , Bolumbia , Nike , etc for wicking away moisture to keep you warm and dry ? I could care less if it's camo because I would be wearing it under other clothing . Someone mentioned in another thread that the UA smelled after a while and the Rocky didn't ............
