I just made some popcorn and came back to the computer and this thread was at the top . What a coincidence !

I was at a Lawn / Garage Sale last summer . A woman picked up a very small Have-a-heart trap and asked the owner if it would work for chipmonks . The owner said it worked like a charm and she was able to get rid of her chipmonk problem . The other lady asked how she got rid of the ones she caught and the owner said , we take them out to Dolomite Park in Walworth and release them . The other woman looked shocked and said , what the hell . That's where we live is on Lewis road . ( Dolomite Park is on Lewis Road in Walworth ) I laughed my butt off . One woman's problem became the others !

What a crappy day . Met my son at a spot in Mendon at 6 am . We got ready and headed for the stands about 6:10 . It was around 36 degrees and started out with a mist and eventually turned to a light sprinkle . We sat in the stands until 10 am after seeing zilch and absorbing the moisture . The weather was just plain miserable !

Deer like peaches . A farmer on Knickerbocker Road here in Ontario complained about the deer hitting his peach trees and got some crop damage permits for a couple guys . I wonder if the peach scent would attract !

It runs me over $30 to drive down hauling the Trailer with the ATV so I try to make it a 2 day deal and stay overnight in Groveland . I hunt there Friday and then Geneseo Saturday . My youngest son and I are going to give Mendon a try tomorrow am ............

And ........ what if the cousin is doing the baiting ? Fabric softener might do the trick or go to one of the nursery places and buy a bottle of coyote pee or the stuff to keep deer away .

You aren't required to wear Orange in New York State . I don't hunt without it during gun season , even on Private property . Some dumb asses shoot at anything that moves . I prefer to live a few more years and not become a statistic !

As to the original post , I wouldn't care if someone does that and apparently it's legal . Now all the guy needs is a good crossBow . Here is what I want !

Sat in my ladder stand in walworth for 3 hours this afternoon . Didn't see a thing . Never even heard one shot . Real quiet !

My driveway is only 75' long and I use an 8 Horse power snow blower with a 26" cut . Bought a cap for it a few years ago so the snow wouldn't blow all over me when the wind shifts . I doan chovel no steenkin snow ! This will be my next snow blower .............

It's a shame that we have such "low-lifes" that would trash a mans property . Nothing is sacred anymore !

That red structure in the pic on the right is the neighbor's "condo" . I think it was a horse trailer that the guy made into a shooting house . The neighbor shot two does from there this year .... one with the Ml and one with a crossbow . He has never hunted with a bow just the crossbow this season . The structure is heated and he drives his tractor down to the pasture and leaves it a couple hundred yards from his condo .

You get to a certain and you get your own personal Crossing Sign like I did .......

Apparently that stand is for the birds !

A couple years I bought a pair of Heated Footbeds and forgot about them . They are insoles that you trim to size for your boots and they have removable filler plugs that you take out and replace with footwarmer pads . Another failed mission . Sat in the stand in Groveland for 3 1/2 hours Friday afternoon . It was cold this am and I had to let the car run for a few minutes to defrost the car windows . Was in my stand by 6am in Geneseo today .Heard maybe a dozen shots between 8:15 and 9 am .Finally got out of the stand at 10:45 . Went up to my SIL's house and helped her repair her electric fence as one of her horses got loose yesterday . Went down and sat in the stand in the laneway for an hour and then took a walk to the woods to see if I could kick something loose . Nuttin ! Walked up to my vehicle and grabbed a sandwich and some water . Put the shotgun away and got out the ML . At 2:30 I called my SIL and let her know that I was still there and that I had heard a few shots about 2 fields west of her property . Saw 2 deer running across the field west of her property and 5 minutes later they were hauling butt across her wheat field . Those were the only deer I saw in 2 days . Both were bucks and the lead buck was a dandy ! Took a couple pics with the Bino-Cam ( 8X bino with a 5X picture taking capability ) . They were at least 200 yards out .
