I had a guy tell me that when he is outside working and the black flies are out and about that he would put a dryer sheet under his cap and that kept them away . Anyone do this ?

These little bastards were out in full force this afternoon . Even though there were several wet spots in the back yard , I managed to mow the lawn . I couldn't get done fast enough . The black flies were horrible ! They serve no purpose on this planet !

I feel for the father and his family but don't agree with him . No matter what they do to make things safer , people complain . People don't want to be patted down but want to be safe . Someone pats down a 6 year old girl and gets chastized for it . "The guy's a pervert" , blah , blah , blah . UBL is dead but we aren't any safer . We still need security .......

And now we have to deal with some Native Americans ( I guess we can't say Indians ) being upset because the military used the code name GERONIMO for USB . What a bunnch of BullCrap !!!

I was in the Webster Lowes today checking out their Backup systems . A fellow who works for Gerber Construction said to stay away from the Battery operated backup and go with the water pressure one . He said he has been doing plumbing for over 25 years and has installed several water pressure backups and replaced several battery b/u's with the water pressure ones . Thanks for the help !

I don't put a camera anyplace unless I can lock it and not by using the little plastic slot on the camera itself . People that don't belong on private property will take them so I would be leary about an unlocked camera on Public land .

Received a call from one of my sisters letting me know that my Mother had passed away late this afternoon . Mom fell and broke her leg a few weeks ago while mixing bread dough . They operated on her leg and installed a Titanium plate . She was in a rehab at the Murray Hill Facility in Mt Morris. She was in good spirits and seemed to be doing well but ......... just quit breathing . She would have been 90 August 6 .
