We had some "Snain" ( mixture of snow and rain ) here yesterday . Luckily it didn't stick !

Took a friend who doesn't hunt to the dinner . Had an enjoyable time . Didn't win a door prise this year but had some great food . The guys at the Living Word church do a great job every year .

Easter bunny gets rude awakening

I had put stabilizers on my bows as it was the thing to do . Don't know as it's really necessary . I might replace my stabilizer with a camera mount this fall . Two of my stabilizers are Simms .

I'll be 70 in September . If i see an ald guy dragging a deer , i'll give him a hand . For that matter , i''ll help a younger guy . I have been using a sled for several years and wore the bottom out of one of them . Bought a heavy duty sled at DICKs and that should last me a few years . I bought an ATV a couple years ago and have yet to use it to haul a deer . A couple spots where I had to retrieve , I couldn't get an ATV in there . I'm thing of buying a winch and installing it this summer . It will be worth it even if I only use it a couple times . oops ! What does this have to do with a Youth Hunt ?

Saw several Livingston County Deer on the way home tonight . No pics . Visited my 89 year young mom at Murray Hill in Mt Morris . Stopped in Cuylerville at the National Hotel for supper . On rt 39 (between Cuylerville & Geneseo ) we saw over 15 deer way back in Christiano's field on the west side of the river . In Geneseo we saw 3 deer on Patriot Drive way behind WalMart then saw another dozen on the south side of Lima Rd just before Country Club road . They were out in full force tonight !

The Lazer sighters I saw were like rifle cartridges and would be centered in the chamber . If you put a lazer light flashlight in the rifle , I doubt it would be centered . If it is cocked a bit , it could make a big difference at 50 - 100 yards .

Too bad the Sabres couldn't score with an open net . I was afraid the Flyers were gonna score and tie up the game .

I have never used a lazer bore sighter . I installed my own scopes on my NEF single shots and ML . I set the Black & Decker Clamp bench on a coffee table in the family room . I clamp the stock in the wooden vice and then look down the barrel so the neighbor's yard light is centered in the barrel . Then I adjust the scope so it has the same picture . I double check the barrel and scope to make sure they match . I then take the gun to the range and I am on the paper with the 1st shot . I had thought about getting the bore sighter but figured , why spend the money on something that I don't need .

I bought the Lazer on Amazon for about $160 or less . It was a breeze to install . The sqeeze part is on the front of the grip .

Last fall I bought a Ruger .380 LCP and have fired it very little . I installed a Crimson Trace Lazer on the pistol . I put some stuff in my backpack and walked over to the Ontario Rod & Gun Club that's only 1 mile away and fired a few rounds . I hate the trigger ! You squeeze , squeeze , squeeze and finally bang . I prefer a trigger that has tension and you feel it . The lazer is almost impossible to see in daylight . In low light or darkness , it is awesome . A friend sent me some videos that some brothers from NC made . I watched the 1st one titled "So You Killed a Deer , Now What ? " The guy did something in the video that I had never seen or heard of before . After he removed the milk sack from a doe , he cut her all the way to the sternum . He had most of the innards pulled out and I was waiting for him to cut around the butt . He didn't . He reached way in and grasped the anal cord , squeezed and pulled forward . He did this 2 - 3 times to get anything that was in the tube forward and then cut the tube free and pulled the rest out . Has anyone used this method ?
