The River Jordan ......from the Jordan side . There were Israeli soldiers on the other side . I had put my feet in the water and had someone take a picture but aparently the lens didn't click .

I was thinking about having my picture taken on a camel . They didn't charge anything to get on the camel but .............. they charged big bucks to get off the darned thing ! ???

Years ago when the movie "The Hustler" came out in 1961 , Paul Neuman played the hustler Fast Eddie Felson . A couple of the guys started calleing me FAST EDDIE and it stuck . I have guys that I hadn't seen in 20 - 30 years still call me that . Since I have gotten older and gaind weight , I was thing of dropping the "s" from my handle !

There were israeli Troops and police all over the place . When boys turn 18 , they have to join the army for 3 years . The girls , 2 years . It was nothing to see these guys all over the country with weapons slung over their shoulder . They looked like Boy Scouts with guns . We were told not to get caught taking pics of them with their guns ! Nothing like riding along in a tour bus and seeing an armored vehicle with a 50 cal machine gun on it ......... It was a great trip . Got to soak my feet in the River Jordan where Christ was baptized . We went to numerous places . The food was great in the hotels . Did a lot of walking !

I just got back from the HOLY LAND . We visited Many places in Jordan and Israel . We were supposed to do an extended tour to Egypt but that was cancelled out prior to leaving the USA . Later about the trip . Got a lot of catching up to do .

Yeah , I was thinking of the overall width . The way many of the bows are made , they could have 18" limbs and be less than 17" wide due to the curvature , etc ..

Oh yeah . The Marlin 39A 22 that I bought was from "Hughs Sports Shop" in Dansville . It was one of the 1st Army / Navy type shops that I had ever been in ........

I bought a used Marlin 22 model 39A in 1955 when I was 14 years old . I still have it and the only thing I ever did was replace the front sight that was broken when I had bought it . Killed a lot of woodchucks with that gun .

I put a 1.5 X 4.5 Bushnenn Sportview on my NEF Huntsman . I'm good out to 150 yards . That git 'r done !

Nothing smells worse than walking out of a building and have to walk past 3 - 4 people milling around blowing smoke . But .......... as far as the Government goes ....what a turn-around . It wasn't too long ago our government was subsidizing the tobacco growers !

I bought one of those Electric Fly Swatter Tennis Racquets at Harbor Freight a couple years ago . The directions say not to touch the wire mesh when holding the button . I tried it on a couple flys and not much happened . I figured it wasn't working and touched it with my finger while holding the button down with my other hand . Kaaa-zaaaaap ! Holy crap . That bugger puts out a charge ! Lesson Learned - follow the instructions !
