  1. I have gotten stiffed a couple times by butchers and yeah I know everyone thinks there should be more meat coming to them . In 2008 , I shot a buck , butchered it and got 52# of meat . During gun season I shot a doe that was bigger than the buck . I took it to a butcher on Haley Road in Walworth . I got 33# (including the weight of the box) . No more butchers for me . I have the hoist , cutting tools , grinder , etc . No mre paying $68 to get ripped off !
  2. I can just picture getting pulled over while riding a bike and being requested to show the Registration and Inspection Sticker . Or ......... your plate being stolen and used on someone else's bike . ??? NY --- The Empire State ----- my ass !!!
  3. Do they give you back the bait ???
  4. I was using the cheaper Tube string wax but switched to the Scorpian Venom Polymeric Bowstring wax . Good stuff ......... http://scorpionvenomarchery.com/
  5. Jordan ---- I knew you'd like that ! ;D
  6. I never had a problem with fletching while shooting the WB . I was shooting Blazer Vanes but wanted to switch to Kwik spins so I changed rests . I put a GS Expert on my Parker and a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone on my Pearson TX-4 . I can shoot the Kwik Spins as well as the FOBs . I tried a QAD Ultra rest but didn't like it . As far as the whiskers touching the arrow shafts , no big deal plus you only lose 2 - 3 FPS so it's minimal .

  8. I interpreted it as ...... If you have a great place to hunt and your neighbors are making life miserable for you by breaking the law and Law Enforcement doesn't enforce the laws , you should give up and move away . I'm not sugar coating anything . Put it in a different perspective . You have the house of your dreams .You have neighbors making all kinds of noise all day long and often at night . They let their recycled papers that are left out blow into your lawn making a mess . They walk through your yard as they please because it's a shortcut . If you complain , they may key your car .The cops don't do anything about it as they might be friends with the offenders . Do you move out or fight for your rights ???
  9. I replaced the string on my Parker Phoenix EZ-Draw bow after 1 1/2 years as the cable frayed from a burr on the cable slide . I figured as long as I was doing one ,I might as well do both . Check your string and cables for wear . Keep the string waxed and every few times ,clean the old wax off the string as it will pick up dirt & grit . If it's not broke , don't fix it ........unless you are nervous about the reliability of the string . Most "quality" strings are pre-stretched .
  10. I have used the original and newer Whisker Biscuit rests with excellent results . I switched to Drop Aways when I started using Kwik Spin vanes because they have a small tab on them . Never had an arrow fall off of a WB ! http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/beer.gif[/img]
  11. If I am reading this right , I believe that you are implying that Growalot shouldn't be hunting the property because people are making it dangerous for her ...... ??? . Am I reading you right ? She should give up what she has because some a-holes don't follow the law ? That's BS !!! Some of the DEC guys hunt . If I was Growalot I think I would try to intice one or more of them to hunt my property and possibly catch some of these violators ! http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/2cents.gif[/img]
  12. I didn't notice the rest on the bow but .... Bowtech uses their "Hostage" rest on bows . It looks like a modified Whisker Biscuit .
  13. Top Shot is on at 10 pm tonight on the History Channel ......... "Compound Fracture" The contestants' archery skills are put to the test with a modern compound bow; tubular team challenge; tensions with team leadership threaten to unravel the group.

  20. There are a few handloaders on the site . I have only reloaded for 223 , 7-30 waters , 25-06 , 270 and 44mag . I expect to be doing some reloading for 308 this summer . I doubt that I would be swapping any bullets / components though . One of the members on here sent me some brass a few months ago .
