That gal really gets around !
-
No , but I was there on Grand Parents Day ..... We have a membership . http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/tonguenew15.gif[/img]

Only because it was a coyote . We don't see many yotes in these here parts ! ??? ... ??? ... ???

I was given a FUBO t-shirt and no matter how much I dislike the man , I wouldn't wear the shirt !

Digging up graves ? They had the President of the Groveland Historical Society in the news a few years ago . He was talking about graves being robbed in the Williamsburg Cemetary in Groveland . Graves of Military soldiers had been dug up and apparently the robbers were stealing uniform buttons , swords , belt buckles , etc .. That is stooping pretty low .

I had to go into Webster this am to get the oil changed in my car . I saw a dead coyote on 104 between Knickerbocker and Ontario Center roads . On the way back , I made a U-turn and stopped to check it out . Of all the times not to have a camera in the car . Grrrrrrrrrrr !

Yeah , these folks with their Pizza Hut , Walmart , Tractor Supply , etc shirts really tick me off . The nerve of them to be wearing those shirts , especially when they are off duty . ')'>http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/out_text.gif[/img] And what about these jokers that wear shirts with Team logos on them . I don't need someone advertising that they are a Vikings fan . The nerve of them !!! http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/pissed.gif[/img]...http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/pissed.gif[/img]...http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/pissed.gif[/img]

I had a woman ask me where I got my shirt when I was shopping at Tops in Ontario . I looked and realized I had my NRA shirt on . She said that she thought it looked nice and would like to get one for her husband .

I don't buy the " no camo in public " . I have a lot of camo clothing that is camo that i don't use for hunting and wear whenever .... I don't feel the need to hide just because someone doen't believe in hunting . Only once have I ever had anyone in public make a remark about wearing camo and she was just ball bustin' .

Uhhhhhhhhhhh , do you think this might have been photo shopped ? : ... :

Wasn't Dirty Harry the one who said "a man's gotta know his limitations " . You're right Steve . If you aren't confident shooting past 20 yards , then don't .

I really don't need anything for hunting but my wife never knows what to get me so she gives me Gift Cards . My oldest son always tells her that I need "hunting stuff" . I never should have told him that through my will I am leaving him all my hunting stuff .

Pics of stand I put up over a week ago in Geneseo
fasteddie replied to fasteddie's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
My mother still lives on Groveland Hill . Her property is only about 70' wide but 700' deep and is adjacent to wooded property that I have permission to hunt . I used to belong to the Scot-Grove Conservation Club but quit that a couple years ago . Groveland Hill Road / Turner Road ( Groveland ) Lima Road / Country Club Road ( Geneseo ) -
I was into Dick's in Webstaer this am . I have about $125 left in Gift Cards and dropped in at the store to see if there were any great bargains . Nothing I really need so I will wait until they have the end of Season Bargains . Saw a lot of guys in there buying new arrows , blades , sights , releases , etc .. I mean , Bow Season opens this Saturday . All that stuff should have been bought and broken in by now .

About the only place you hear about Feral Hogs in in the Southern Tier . No reports anyplace else ......
-
That is one Huuuuuuuuge deer ! ???
-
It looks like one of the hunters from the Southern-tier that isn't wearing his Blaze orange ...

What time will you be in your stand and are you sitting the whole day?
fasteddie replied to burmjohn's topic in Deer Hunting
Hopefully I will be settled in a stand by 6:30 opening day . I have about a steep downhill walk so I plan to take a folding web chair to leave by the Doghouse Blind and then go another 80 yards to a ladderstand that we setup last week . I will be alone so I want to take it easy . If I get tired I can go back to the blind and sack out inside ........... If I don't score in the am , I plan to be there for the day . -
Folding Chairs for Ground Blinds
fasteddie replied to wztirem's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I don't hunt the State land and I stash the chairs away so they pretty much are out of sight . Havn't had any break as I stack a second one on top of another which strengthens the legs . They were left behind when people moved because they took up space . As for buckets , etc , I have seen them in the woods and also on land where they shouldn't have been because it's posted . -
That's up on Groveland Hill ( God's Country ) . I havn't seen any big brusers there and the deer seem to pass through this area kinda periodic / not every day . Father Langworthy was Pastor of the Catholic Church and he came to our church in Ontario years ago . Groveland Station ? Did they kick you out of Piffard ?

Folding Chairs for Ground Blinds
fasteddie replied to wztirem's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Sometimes when people sell thier home and move , they will toss out their cheap plastic deck chairs . I have picked some up and put them in a couple of hunting spots . They are stackable and I double them up to give them strength as they are a bit flimsey , especially on uneven ground . Plus , the price is right ! -
With today's bows a couple yards shouldn't make a difference . I think the problem is that folks forget to bend at the waste and drop their bow arm . This will certainly cause a miss .

There is a high grass field on the camera side where I took the picture from . I had a button buck go past the stand last year at about 10 yards . He stepped right into the field without stopping to check and damn near jumped out of his hide when he was 5 tards from my doe decoy . It was funny .

There was an article in Yesterday's Rochester D&C ----- Active Animals Increase Risk of Car Accidents . Monroe County 2005 - 1109 2006 - 1046 2007 - 1075 2008 - 1191 2009 - 1259 It gave a breakdown of each town in Monroe county . With 1259 reported accidents last year in Monroe County , it makes me wonder how many there were state wide .
