I prefer a treestand for bow hunting but I will use a groundblind if it rains somewhat heavy . I also like a groundblind for gun hunting when it snows , rains or there are cold winds .

Just a tip ----- Most of the pop up blinds now the the fiberglass flex rods that support the roof . Cut an 8" piece of metal clutheshanger . Bend one end over and hang it from the fiberglass rod . Bend the other end up and hang your compound by the wheel or cam . Bend the hanger so it will hold the bow but be easy to remove for a shot . You can keep an arrow nocked on the hanging bow .

I remember Buddy Hackett doing standup comedy and explaining how they artificially inseminated a cow .He daid , they take frozen bull sperm and place it in the palm of their hand . Body heat thaws out the frozen sperm . Then the person pours the thawed out sperm into a long glass tube . Next , the tube is carefully inserted into the back of the cow . I would do what WNYBuckHunter posted except the weather is going to be nice for a few days so I will hang mine outside .

I bought a book that explained how to use a Muzzle Loader and what accessories were necessary . I read it a couple time before I bought my NEF Huntsman . There is a lot to know .

About 90 percent ready . Gotta empty the backpack and check out the gear . Make sure I have the right arrows in the quiver with the blades I plan to use . Pull out the plastic totes and check out the hunting clothes . Pretty much check out all my gear .

I thought debate is what you use to catch de fish ........... ???

My 1st new bow was an Oneida Golden Eagle Evolution that I bought in 1994 when I started bowhunting . A few years ago my son convinced my wife that I needed a new bow and she and my mother in law put $600 towards a Parker Phoenix EZ Draw . Last year I won a Ben Pearson TX-4 bow in a raffle on another site . The Tx-4 set me back $30 ! The $30 excludes the accessories .

The EPIC camera has a clip that mounts on a hat but you cannot tell if it's aimed right . If you have it pointed straight out , you won't see the shot but you could follow the deer . That's assuming you don't have your hat tipped back or too far down . They are a pain to get adjusted just right .

Well , for one thing , you know a topic is ging to be controversial when it starts out , " I don't want to start anything , but .........." .

I received a $10 Dick's Reward Certificate and a statement that I have a balance of 201 points . They also sent me a card for 100 points and a certificate for 50 points . For those that aren't familiar with Dick's , if you have their Scorecard , which is free , you get one point for each dollar purchase . When you accumulate 300 points , you earn a $10 Rewards Certificate . It's a win - win .

Check out the Epic Camera Test in the gear reviews forum . It only has a 2X magnification and you have to make sure you keep your bow arm up to follow the deer .

I cut as many as I could along the trail down the hill . It was slippery and if it was this way going to the stand to hunt , I didn't want to get tangled up when I go down to hunt . I caught one of them across the nose and I am taking blood thinner so I bled for a while .

I shot my 1st bow buck a few minutes after I pee'd from a stand . 3 bucks walked behind my stand and I nailed a 7 pointer about 7 yards from the tree .

We put up 3 ladder stands and did some trimming . My son debated whether or not he was going to hunt that property this year and figured he would since it's only about 20 miles from where he moved to . I got pretty wet as I changed from a heavier waterproof jacket to a lighter non rain jacket . I set up a Dog House Blind also while we were there . I was cutting those damned multi-floral roses up and down one trail . I hate those things !
