I shot my 1st bow buck a few minutes after I pee'd from a stand . 3 bucks walked behind my stand and I nailed a 7 pointer about 7 yards from the tree . -
We put up 3 ladder stands and did some trimming . My son debated whether or not he was going to hunt that property this year and figured he would since it's only about 20 miles from where he moved to . I got pretty wet as I changed from a heavier waterproof jacket to a lighter non rain jacket . I set up a Dog House Blind also while we were there . I was cutting those damned multi-floral roses up and down one trail . I hate those things !

The Bills have been cleaning house . They traded Lynch today which is no surprise . But ....... they get a 4th round draft pick next year and a 6th rounder in 2012 . It's not broke . Don't fix it . A couple of threads on here would get locked on other sites and someone would get a pm telling him to settle down , blah , blah , blah ! There is enough Political Correctness in the world without bringing it to this site . Members have had to Freedom to argue their points / views etc.. Heading for South Bristol tomorrow to meet up with my oldest son and put up a couple of ladder stands . The property is off Rt 21 on the lake side . I usually hit that spot about twice a year . It's about a 48 mile drive for me but about a 22 mile drive for my son . The property is around old overgrown vinyards .

Practice and practice from the distance and positions that you would while hunting . If you hunt from a blind , practice shooting from a chair . The same for a treestand . Nothing worse than practicing from the ground and then hunting from a 20' high treestand !

I have a rangefinder but I don't use it for bowhunting . I don't shoot beyond 35 yards .

WE have enough laws as it is and many of them aren't enforced until the guy that breaks it for the 1st time in his life gets caught . As they say in Wayne County , "we doan need no steenkin' laws" ! ;D ... ;D

I know this thread is about Property Lines but it is a bit off track so I would add that even though someone has given you permission to hunt a property , don't assume it's okay to continue to hunt it each year . Check for permission .The property may have changed hands . And don't assume that because Posted Signs are up that the owner won't let you hunt it . Land owners want to know want to know who will be on their property .

I wear a Hunter Safety System when in a treestand but certainly don't believe that it should be mandated . No doubt many of the lawmakers are not hunters and probably won't read a bill if proposed . Earth Scent Wafers

I have a few of the Fresh Earth Scent cannisters . I use the plastic tubs to keep my gear in with a wafer in there . And , yes , they seem to regenerate themselves when confined to the cannister . I bought a few when Wally World had a season clearance .
