HaHa, Have a few more pics that i will try to dig up. Built it in 2001 and has withstood 85 mile per hr winds without a scratch. 4 sunken telephone poles extend up to the eves. Frame built around that. Totally insulated walls and ceiling with 3 or 4 layers of carpet on the floor for noise and ins. protection. I mis- spoke on the heating. We heat it with kerosene heater. about 13x13 with walk out porch which we cover in burlap for season. Windows are an assortment of sliders. double hung and basement casement windows. 32 ft extension ladder leads to trap door in the floor for access. Knock it if you want to but it is a tool that gets used for many things on this managed property and sometimes after 5 or 6 weeks of braving the elements in a tree, it's nice to spend a blustery day up there with the smoke pole by your side . Sorry true hunter guy..

I do feel sorry for guys like you that think this is a tall tale.. Not really all that crazy in some parts.
-
Is that really the only difference? Are you still hunting those same tracts of land? And of course the deer #'s were high. No one shot does back then and thats how the holding capacities got so out of whack and the buck to doe ratios were so bad.

That pic is at least 2 yrs old. I think the story was he shot it in a fenced preserve. Could be wrong about the story but i know the pic is old..

Although i personally have not been out to see things for myself, the properties i hunt are giving up deer as usual to my family and friends. Larry and i have no complaints over here in 8h.. 9p is where our camp is and my family has been having a great yr. down there as well. Bigger bucks than normal and does in the freezer. Sorry for the rest of the state.

Here is our tower-condo. 36 ft. to the peak. Propane portable heater. I didn't read the article so i don't know how elaborate those set-ups were but i can tell you that our tower was worth the sweat to build. Can't tell you how many new hunters or friends we have brought up there. Also great place to meet for lunch without having to leave the woods and then come back.. And on miserable days when most people are home watching football, we always have a place to go so we are always able to hunt.

Nice buck buddy..

From everything i've read, yes the deer is legit but was taken illegally and charges filed. That is unless you read the Elite forum which states the guy was fraimed, railroaded, part of some right wing bow industry conspiracy and will be cleared of all unfounded charges in a court of law.. We'll see.

four bottom buck... Sweet.

Does the Savage have the accutrigger? Pretty sure not but the pic is a bit fuzzy. The Mossberg 695 is my deer slayer. Mine just refuses to miss anything under 100 yrds. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bolt action 12 guage.

Thanks for asking. Still no new home found for Bailey. Still have not hunted in over 30 days.. We have adjusted our home life with the reality that this may be a long process finding her a home. The reality is that there are thousands of dogs out there in need of a home and even though she is a great dog, it's been tough. There is some new info on the link listed above describing some of Baileys needs, her current situation and what we would love to find in a new family. www.notesfromthefunnyfarm.com . Thanks for all who have been looking and have PM'd with tips and encouragement.

Glad i wasn't the first to question the 219 thing.. I was thinking around 200 when i first saw it..

Have always squirted from the stand and have never seen a problem even with mature bucks. This year however, after reading on this site about peeing in scrapes, i conducted my own experiment. Put the camera out and was amazed at the pics. I was joking earlier about making mock scrapes right off the downwind side of my stands, but i may seriously do it next yr. By the way, Chuck Adams does not carry a pee bottle.

Ultra lite camping gear for do it yourself Mulie hunt in Sept. In other words, Cabelas gift certificates.. -
Ya he's huge but there are alot of deductions on that deer. Here is one i got a pic of that was supposedly shot in Medina, NY. Have talked to many sources over three days and no one knows anything. Almost certainly not legit but who knows. Anyone else seen or know anything..

I would agree Joe. It's kind of a three legged stool. Age- nutrition- genetics. But when it comes to big bucks there is only one you cannot do without. That is age.

Love the idea Sam. You'd make a hell of a politician.. Well, political canidate anyway..

Oh it must be the season of miracles.. Doewacker and NYantler standing shoulder to shoulder on common ground.. LOL

NY, did you have a rough day at the office? You are taking alot of statements way out of context and reading into others in a way that's a bit overboard. LOL

What a giant.. They certainly get some big bears in PA.

+1 to your comments. My father is notorious for slicing throats. Finished his nice 8 point off last week with the blade. Not braggin' about it. Just his way. I have never had to deer hunting, but couldn't agree more with Steve's comments on the realities of killin'. I worked on a game preserve for yrs and had to dispatch of animals from time to time so in some ways I'm thankful for that experience. I've also seen in-experienced or less couragous bow hunters make pin cushins out of spined deer in an attempt to finish the squirming deer off. In some cases, it may be best.

HaHaHa, you can't fool me. That looks like the farmers wifes pig that she pampers all year leading up to the county fair.. LMAO
