I picked up some scrap nylon screen from Hector's hardware and stuffed an old corn bag. I think it should be fine? I'll try it with a good backup!

I have a Range rover Truglo 1 pin adjustable site on my bow and I just realized that there is a little bolt and knurled head for tightening the adjustable site that's missing from my site. I noticed as I've been shooting that my site moves. I just thought I was bumping it? I can't find any replacement parts on line so I'll probably go to hardware store and improvise. Also does anyone know where to get the replacement yardage tapes? The site didn't come with any so I just marked yardage with a sharpie, and now things have changed and the yardages are all off. Thought it would be easier to just add one of those site tapes?

I ordered 1 of those yellow jacket bags from wally world, should have it by wednesday. I have some old potato/onion sacks about 10lb. size, maybe I'll try to stuff one and try it out. I like to do the DIY thing. Can't hurt to have a back up! Thanks for the idea.

I'm new to the xbow, what do you guys use to discharge the bolt after a hunt? I'm thinking of picking up the small discharge target at wally world ($15). It will fit in the back seat better than a full size bag.

Here's another Thanks for Tacks! I shot my bow last night and for the first time in years my fp and bh's both hit the same spot! Well, within an inch at 20 yds. My bow feels like it's shooting the best ever. That gives me a HUGE boost of confidence. Thanks Tacks! I also shot my xbow and fp and bhs also right on at 20 yds. I need to get out and shoot at 30-40 yds. but I can't shoot that far at my house, too many neighbors, too close.

The wait was killing me so I had to start a new project. I picked up this dresser at a garage sale and decided to refinish it for my daughter. It's going to be a birthday/ house warming gift as she is buying her first house outside of Baltimore. The dresser will be used as a hutch in her dining room. The original top was a laminate so I made a new top out of oak, painted the rest and added new door pulls. I also picked up 2 end tables, I'll post pics when they are done.

I think you will be ok with pancake mix? I use bisquick for pancakes.

I'm getting closer! I took off a half day yesterday and put up 2 more stands. I checked my cameras and it looks like I'm going to have to put up another stand in the small woods right behind my brothers house, I have found a run that the deer are using daily coming and going morning and night. I'll post some of the pics in the trail camera blog.

Opening day/ first day out is dress rehearsal, bring a pen and paper to write down everything you forgot!

Sorry, i went to look at a new drill driver set i found on c-list to replace the set i had. And I finished working on my wife's motorcycle. I put on a new rear tire and front brakes, now i have to get the bikes inspected.

Not even close!! This is probably the furthest behind I've ever been? I haven't shot the bow in weeks, I spent time moving tree stands off of property I can no longer hunt. I still have at least 3 stands to put up, hopefully I can get out this weekend. Went out of town last week to help my daughter so I lost another weekend. I will be going back in 3 weeks for probably a week. It's beginning to look like I'll probably be ready by crossbow season! Oh I forgot, I have to finish siting in my crossbow and find broadheads for it.

Auto Insurance is covering the glass but contents are covered by home owners policy and I have $1000 deductible. No word from the hotel or police as to the camera footage. FYI we were at a hotel in Towson not actually in Baltimore, it's outside of the city. It's supposed to be a decent neighborhood.

Yes, the police are going to check the footage today, but I looked and the cameras are not pointed where i was parked. Maybe they will be able to get a plate # of a vehicle cruising the parking lot late that night.

Went to Baltimore to help my daughter move. This is what I got up to on Sunday morning. Some dirt bag smashed both back windows in my truck and made off with about $1000 worth of tools and my wife's camera.

Went to the Sabres game last night, got gifted front row seats! Hockey season bow season is right around the corner!

I have a propane smoker and I honestly don't remember seasoning it? Oh well it's certainly seasoned now!
