Happy Birthday! Enjoy...
-
Pygmy, that pic will end up on the dart board!
-
I had some clover still growing in the plots and I hated to till it in. i was thinking of going back and just adding some clover but i think I will try to frost seed it in next spring.
-
Only 2 left!
-
Thanks Pygmy, we got that rain last night!
-
Shot at "the academy" last night and bow shoots good. Even out to 50 yds although i do see an occasional corkscrewing arrow in flight. I have to assume it's my form. Thanks for the help! When tacks gets back we'll go over the bow again and make sure it's all set up right, I bet Tacks can get it to paper shoot just fine!

What a bunch of wetbacks!
-
Nice ! you can walk home from the tent!
-
I should be here
-
don't know the measurement? Tacks set it up and everything was good. I'm pretty sure it's my form as I always get a right tear and years ago when having other bows tuned and paper shot at Nick's, Roy would get a perfect tear and i would shoot it and get a right tear. He would say it's my grip that I need more thumb pressure. I never could get it right. It's probably because I'm left handed shooting right handed? I am right eyed.

I threw on some 125 gr field points and I believe my tear got worse! I switched to normal nocks with 100 gr FPs that seems to be ok, but still getting a right tear. Lawd, come on over we can shoot your bow through paper.

2013 Elite hunter set at 65lbs. 29" draw length, arrows are Gold tip 340 with 100 gr heads.

I can't get a clean paper shot. I always get a right tear. i just had the string and cables replaced and tuned up. (thanks Tacks !) I moved my rest a tad to the left , it got a little better so I moved it a little more, no change. I was reading that it could be over spined arrows? I used luninocks so I have weighted practice tips, should I try adding weight to the tip? I did check my FOC and its not perfect but it does have some FOC, I don't remember the actual numbers. I use 100 gr tips/BHs maybe i can try using a 125gr tip? Previous years I've tried walk back tuning and it just drove me crazy! I've never been able to get field tips fly the same as my BHs. I've been told it's my form but I've been shooting for years and i don't think i can change? I'll try to post a pic of the paper. Second picture is sideways, tear is actually a right tear.

I work on Main St in Will also! I can get a couple after work today, PM me and we can connect.

We haven't been getting much rain all summer, everything passes south and east of us! I just walked out to replace the cards on my trail camera and the 2 food plots are bone dry.
-
Are you close by?

I have access to free for the pick up wooden storage boxes/crates. A company my sister works for gets material shipped in them and just throws them out. They are made of approx 3/4" Chinese plywood and measure approx 45" wide x 31" x 21" deep. I can probably get 5-6 of them. I thought they could be used for firewood or garage storage. They are screwed together so you could pull them apart and salvage the sheathing. Free for the asking. I'm in Amherst, near Main/ Kensington.

Got out yesterday and worked up 2 food plots, the round up didn't kill nuch. I should have used a stronger solution. But I disked it up , added some 10-10-10, and planted a mix of forage oats, brassica, and winter peas. Now we need to get some rain.
-
The bucks are hitting the pears hard! The one pic is of 4 does running a buck off the food plot! Nice to see some poults made it, the turkey numbers have been decreasing in 9F for years!
-
Happy Birthday Lawd!! I can't believe I almost missed this. Have a great day, go out for the best steak you ever had, followed up by a nice cigar and a Manhattan!
-
I've used lighted nocks for years only on my hunting arrows. I have weighted nocks on my practice arrows. Heck I even bought a set for a friend because I got tired of tracking deer for him and he didn't know where he actually hit the deer! I do know that you will need to check your front of center on your arrows to get good flight.

I haven't posted on this blog in a while but I'm on vacation so I thought I would try something different. Brewed in Redlands, California.
-
All youneed is a couple more glasses of pain killer!
-
Sorry I missed this, there would be 1 more Elite in that pile! Best use of a Miller lite I can think of! Sounds like there are a few more arrows in the grass keeping mine company? Wish I was there but it's hard to pass up these views!
