  1. Happy Birthday young Man! Enjoy the day!
  2. I just cut back a Macoun apple tree in my yard and was thinking of trying to graft some of the branches to start planting where I hunt. I've never done anything like this and didn't know where to get a good root supply. it' a lot easier to just buy trees when the go on sale locally.
  3. i only do what 9 out of ten voices in my head tell me to do!
  4. An enclosed deer stand big enough to sleep 2? Is it going to be elevated? I don't think i'd want to have to get enough wood up there to last all night! plus the room it would take! Mr buddy would be good just make sure you have adequate ventilation, and maybe even a battery operated carbon monoxide detector, it could be dangerous!
  5. The hitch hauler would be the way to go, as for wrapping it in a blue tarp, I would only because I don't want all the road slop to get on/in the carcass. Although I suppose you can rinse it out when you git it home.
  6. This might have somethig to do with the cancellation.. http://buffalonews.com/2018/02/20/fire-reported-at-yelling-goat-restaurant-in-lancaster/
  7. I have given deer meat to friends when they weren't so lucky and needed some venison, I've also received the same from friends when I didn't get a deer. I make a lot of jerky and always take it to hockey to share. I like to try different ways to prepare the venison/ wild turkey and always share that with those interested. The bacon wrapped bites are great (thanks TF), smoked pepper sticks, wild turkey tettrazini, chili, jalapeno hot dogs, etc. The list goes on... We have lunches at work 3-4 times a year where everyone brings something to pass, and they are always asking what wild game am I going to make!
  8. I tried to take some better pics but I don't think they are any better?
  9. I don't believe it is pitting, I can try to take a couple more pics using natural light so maybe there won't be so much glare. Stay tuned...
  10. Glued up the other end, I had to improvise as my clamps aren't long enough! I'm leaving the heater on in the shop tonight as I can't carry this beast into the house by myself!
  11. Here you go, I got 1 end glued up, my clamps aren't long enough to do both ends at once.
  12. Free advertising for Johny's Pizza and Damiani Concrete! When I see these pics I think " Man my shop is a mess!"
  13. I don't know if this should be posted in turkey hunting or crossbow but I'm thinking of trying my new crossbow this spring for turkeys and was wondering what broadheads do those of you who hunt turkeys with a bow/crossbow use?
  14. I think I can ship it for about $20.00, still less than I originally posted. PM me we can work it out.
  15. The Alaskan Shoot is in April 14? I believe. I'll shoot it. Lawd,Tach you in? Turkeyfeathers?
  16. Thanks, Tach and Lawd! It was fun getting out in the shop it's been a long time since I had a project. It's therapeutic, or was it the pizza and brews? For those curious minds here is a peek at what we are aiming for.... http://saratonin.co/iron-pipe-desk/iron-pipe-desk-rustic-reclaimed-barn-wood-computer-desk-table-w-3-shelf-system-solid-oak-w-iron-pipe-desk-with-shelves/
  17. Tach, Allied has to be less than 30 minutes from you? Hawkeye Bowman is just down the street from Allied but they are archery only.
  18. I'm am not a plumber but i have done too much plumbing. If you have to cut the galvanized pipe then the only way to make the connection is with the fernco fitting/ coupler. The pipe that threads into the cast drain should be able to be replaced with a threaded PVC piece. I see you are in Nia Co. If it's not too far from you go to Ed Youngs in Williamsville, they have a great plumbing department and there is usually is a guy there that can help and has plumbing experience. Take pics of the area you need to replace. Plus they carry all the right parts, not going to try to sell you gerry rigged parts they happen to sell. Just my .02
  19. I have a canoe floor lamp with the NWTF logo on the front for sale. Measures 64" tall 11" deep and 12" wide. Asking $75.00 local pick up prefered. I'm in Amherst , WNY. PM me if interested.
