I didnt get any deer this year , had a couple health concerns and didnt get out have as much as usual ! But I never pass up the chance to fill a Doe Tag , even on opening day I just pick a fat one ! The Venison all tastes the same to me ! -
Our cable bill is currently $190.00 per month (Mid Hudson Cable) so we're just trying to get it ( TV and Internet) below $100.00 .... probably will turn out to be about $130 or 140 between basic cable for the net and DirectTV ....but its worth a shot to lower it !

Well my wife and I have decided to cut the Cable Cord for our TV and are going with DirectTV ! Its being installed this saturday and then when everything works OK we"ll call the cable company and tell them to entice us to keep them as our Internet provider ! Any thoughts / opinions ? Any one else here on or were on DirectTV .... suggestions ?

Welcome ... Probably putting them up sooner rather than later is your best bet , cuts down on the scent trail you leave when Hunting starts !

A Neighbor had a Maple Tree taken down today and I grabbed the wood for $150.00 from the tree guy .... now I can cut and split it at my leisure for next year !

We have a woodstove in the basement which is not our prime source of heat but is definitely a great thing to have going on colder days ! It has no blower built in but we have one of those fans that you put on top and it spins when it gets hot and distributes the air around the basement nicely . When/if we have a power failure its nice to have it there ! A cord in the Albany area is around $ 225-250 delivered . We have a power line adjoining the property and this past summer the power company came through and cut down all the trees in the right-of-way and left them there to rot so I've been chipping away at them ever since .... it will eventually come out to about 5 cords worth !
