Ive never hunted the Northern Zone and am thinking about trying 5H-5J this year if for no other reason than to hunt a little earlier than Southern Zone ... a month too be exact ! Any suggestions on State Land with parking available , its gonna be day trips ! I just wanna get out there !

I've never planted a food plot but I do own a few acres and will most likely plant one in time for next season . As far as the "Legality" of a food plot I believe its entirely up to the owner (Tax Payer) of the property to determine . Just my opinion .. -

Often time I have gotten into my tree stand (30 ft. up) way before sunrise and the deer come through about 7-7:30 and thet suddenly stop , they all come to a halt and just start looking for whatever ... I dont smoke til after I've gotten one and I don't give them any reason to start looking but they do for some reason .... always had me curious as to why !

At the beginning of the season I give them a pass , but towards the end of the season and no meat in the freezer .. nite nite Mom !
