  1. Got a chance last weekend to break in / bloody up the new Ford Ranger, it was a great christening indeed.
  2. What i find amazing, it really boggles my mind, that we can get so many pics. of a buck but yet they elude all these hunters for years and years. I once had a yearling on cam, a non typical with a palmated rack, looked like a moose. I only got that one picture of him. Years later i run into a neighbor that shot that buck i think it was 4-5 years later. The buck was actually featured i think 3 years back in the DEC booklet thats given out with our licenses, it was labeled as the Moose buck. Where do they go? Some are just very smart, some just being nocturnal for many years. I usually only get a crack at those big boys when they are tending a doe, trailing does to a food source...even when they are starved, they move to eat under cover of darkness. Cant tell you how many pics i have of big bucks in my plots during hunting season and the time stamp shows they come into the plot after dark and usually leave 1/2 hr. To an hour before sunrise. Theres just so much land and pockets they can hide in. The big boys know thier safe havens. I really hope you tag that big boy, would be neat considering all the documented history you have of him.
  3. As of last week the does were not ready to stand, but bucks are tending close by. Find the does from now into next week and you will be in thr money. Good luck guys!!! Living through all of you, from my office. Friday cant come fast enough.
  4. Wow, would never take a game over hunting. Too bad, missed out on a great buck. Hope you cross paths with him another time. Best of luck.
  5. There are alot of new members joining that was not possible in the past, so for them and myself can you please attach to this post your address. I butcher my own deer but never know if i may need someone in the future in a pinch. Thx and glad this community was able to step up and help increase your intake, good for you.
  6. Place head on floor, hold by horns, cut back of skull using a wood saw.
  7. Awesome, the colors on the one in the first pic. is insane. Thats one thing ive never done, lots of deer and small game hunting, but never ducks.
  8. Thanks but i've been a member for quite sometime.
  9. Took this 10 pointer on 10\25\19 in one of my foodplots, came in with a doe, eating and some lite chasing. Post pics of your kills.
  10. Save yourself some money, been boiling the skulls for years. This is the 10 point from this weekend that was cleaned up in a few hours. Take as much meat off as possible, boil and repeat. Boiled this skull 3 times, once dried comes out real nice.
  11. Left worki early today, headed to camp, got up there just in time to catch last hour ,of hunting. This 10 pointer came out into one of the food plots eating and tending a doe. Pass thru, took out the lungs.
  12. Lol, that kids a time bomb waiting to explode. Hope he runs into the wrong kid and gets his a$$ whooped. As a father of 4, i find it dusturbing the way that kid was talking and even worse is the father did not say a peep. The human race never seems to amaze me, crazy!!
  13. That kids gonna be a train wreck when he gets older.
  14. Back in the 80's, 90's we use to always bring back deer into Brooklyn and never had issues, heck i remember strapping deer down to the rear wing of my 77' firebird..lol..but since we have had the house upstate for last 20 + years or so, just much easier to butcher the deer at the cabin, no need to transport anymore. We never cared what anyone thought, even if i had to transport one today.
  15. Their on TV or social media so of course their pushing something, gotta keep their sponsors happy or the shows would not exist. In the end they are hunters and only help our ranks as outdoorsman.
  16. Yeah but those girls are also hunting free range deer and still have to make the shot, i wouldn't bash them, kuddos to all that hunt and do it legally. I see no reason to bash those other female hunters.
