  1. It may not be gone but it sure is racing towards the back of your head...lol
  2. How do you take the last paragraph on the email? A turkey hunter could use a crossbow for turkeys and a compound bow for deer, but I can't think of a practical way to still hunt with both implements or quietly carry them to a stand/blind for purposes.
  3. You are right. not "all " of it. But enough
  4. Yeah, those of us that had hair, had gray hair...lol
  5. No I didn't. I actually picked it up from a DU banquet years ago.
  6. I took a 4" putty knife that is flexible. Sanded the sharp corners a little round so they don't catch and cut the fabric. scrape away. works best having them off and layign them on something hard like a piece of plywood.
  7. It's called editing...lol Most of that is probably shot after they take the deer.
  8. I was a great time and I sure enjoyed finally meeting you Grampy. It was a blast seeing the folks that showed up. Thanks for getting it set up Moog, Sure hope we can get together again. I figure G-man should just bout be gettign to the restaurant if he drove his truck...lol
  9. Well it could just as easily be said that the smaller one I pass has not impact to anyone and the bigger one I held out for and took was the one the person would have hit. This thread is trolling and if you believe any of this nonsense you should probably not have the ability to own firearms.
  10. No need to rush like that if you don't want to. When it opens they are available that entire day and not a fist come first serve. at the end of the day they modify the listing based on how many given out for the next day.
  11. I think Cabin Fever had a 7x7 on trail camera a few years back that got taken by a neighbor. Not sure if we ever heard anything about that score.
  12. Let me know where. I'm in for dinner and a couple cold ones.
  13. we don't typically hang deer long but if they are up the hide is on.
  14. $100- Perfect addition to a Mancave. No particle board in this. It is solid and in great shape. The door panels reverse so the Duck stamps are not visible from the outside if you wish. I am just south of Rochester. Can meet in a reasonable distance. The top is 25" wide x 16" deep. 48" high
  15. It's personal preference but I don't agree with your blade length comments for me. 4" blade does it all and once the chunks are on the cutting board I can fillet off all the membrane/silverskin just like skinning a fish fillet using my fillet knife.
  16. That was NYAntlers point and he nailed it. HUGE difference in Typical and non-typical and then factor in net VS Gross. I will say that ANY deer that is over 200 gross is something I would love to settle my crosshairs on. (not that I could settle them. lol)
  17. MOOG- at the 17:30 mark on this video see how he cuts the skin with sharp side out? that is what I mean on any hide cutting. I have seen lots of guys cut in and it cuts the hair and releases it. This way very little hair is cut.
  18. I agree. My biggest point to anyone reading this that hasn't done it is just try it. If you can get it in the air (I have done it laying down but tend to get more hair on it), have a knife and some way to wrap it you are good to go. At $80+ a deer, what do you have to lose. It isn't heart surgery and you will be just fine.
  19. I takes the hinds off in one piece and usually remove the front shoulders as a first step after removing the hide. He does a very nice job on this.
  20. Slide knife under hide with sharp edge facing out towards the hair. Cut thought he skin from the back through the skin towards the hair. . As opposed to cutting down through the hair and then through the skin. Hope I explained that better
