Vortex optics customer service.....wow
Culvercreek hunt club replied to ApexerER's topic in General Chit Chat
That is great by Vortex especially since it wasn't a problem they caused. . I have had two issues and both were taken care of fast and beyond what i expected. -

Did you buy directly from Vortex or a retailer? -
My 32" Sony had a big processing unit that was bigger than an old VHS player. It was about one of the first LCD's that came out. Was like $2600 and state of the art back then.

Have you used the Hobby Lobby wax bricks? They worked great for me last year and that is probably what I am going to use for my waxed dirt this year. Like right now they have a sale on a 10# block for 17.50 and if you apply their 40% off a single item coupon that is 10.50 for 10#. I think shipping is a deal killer but it was great when the stores were open.

Budget, budget, budget. you can get a RCA 70" 4k for $550 at Walmart or spend $13,000 for the same size. I saw an LG 4k 70"my buddy picked up at Walmart and I think it was in the $750 range. Great picture. I am in the market myself and that's what I am getting.

Gun a day in July

Report I got today says that there are less than 200 left for sale. Might be closer to 150. It's tough to get a 100% count when the tickets are in hand across the state. -
Campfire Coffeemaker Recommendations
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Deleted Account's topic in Camping and Hiking
Ours at camp no longer has the logo on it but we use this one. It isn't placed on the fire, we use a propane stove but it has the handle for it and makes the best coffee IMO. Many Many pots through that thing. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/cabelas-campfire-coffee-pot -
Gun a day in July

Just wanted to give you all a heads up. Sales are on fire and Mike is calling back in tickets form the volunteers to make sure he can fill online sales. We are easily 3/4 sold at this point so if any of you want a ticket I wouldn't wait. I'd expect this to be sold out next week at the latest. -
Water for hunting cabin
Culvercreek hunt club replied to 2012_taco's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
Since our pump is in the camp it “pulls” the water out of the 275 gallon tank. We pull that pipe off because it has standing water while we are there and it does freeze. We use the shark bite in that connection -

Anything outside should use a fitting like shark bites to allow for easy removal when cold or leaving.
