I saw one up north on opening weekend of rifle that was out about an inch and it was actually bloddy around the stubs. he weighed about 70 bounds but there were white nubs. Fist time I have seen them that small and broken through the skin.

Elmo they can tax the guns right out of your hands and don't have to make them illegal. Think that is far fetched? Look at some of the NYS pistol permit areas that require a pretty hefty fee to renew them. How about Illinois passing the $.05 a round tax? Funny how when we are talking guns it is acceptable to throw on a small tax but if we require a few bucks for a one time ID to be used for voter identification of proof of citizenship...that is an undue hardship on the poor.

guns or no guns. If someone wants someon dead ....they will be dead. The wacko in the movie theater could have just as easliy made a bomb and the death toll would have been higher. He built them in his house. You can't stop it. you won't decrease it. Some of the areas with the tightest gun controls have the highest incidents of shootings. If we have a stomach for it just kill everyone that uses a gun in a crime. don't pass go dont collect $200. guilty.....grounds for appeal...no? Then here is the straps for the chair. no need to even fire a shot in the crime. you hold up a store and use a gun. you die. Quit freaking around with these people

I won'der about this in the context of the immigration but also the new stance adopted by a few states on Pot. The feds laws still says no but the state laws will be saying yes. As an employer and you have pre-employment drug screening. If someone tests positive for pot in a state where it is legal now, do you deny them employment? By state law you can't but by federal law you can.

You can walk in the woods carryinf a dozen guns as long and each meets the requirements of a legal implement in that specific season.

Blue Tongue Disease.
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in General Chit Chat
Wow sounds like a no win. Blue tounge is high in drought and EHV is high in wet springs. -
Buddy of mine just got back from a hunt in Illinois for deer. He said this disease is killing a mass quantity of deer out there. He heard numbers of 30% of the herd (no idea how true) but on the 160 acres they wee hunting there have been 30 deer that died from it. First I have heard bout it. It is a virus trasmitted my insects and not trasmitted by the infected deer. Sounds like a terrible death from what I just read. Seems most wide spread in drought years. I had never heard of this

Just a point of clarification. Hunting doesn't HAVE to be expensive but we certainly make it that way. A person near me could take 5 deer for a licence investment of $39 bucks. If they hunt near home travel is not expensive ( I actually hint by walking out of my house here). So let'ssay there is 30# of usable meat on each of the deer. that is 150# of meat for pretty nominal investment. Although it cuold be 0# for the same investment...lol. We make it expensive. fancy and new gear and gadgets. leases. camps. the list goes on and on. I do know 2 hunters personally that hunt in jeans, work boots and an old hand me down red and black Wool jacket. One carries and old pump that I would have to thinnk twice about shooting (no...that is BS, I wouldn't shoot it). The other uses a single shot with no vented rib and a brass bead. I bet there are more than a few that can make due in the woods without spending a lot of money to take some deer.

I know properties where the owners won't let firearms in. Perfect cross bow useage. Besides we weren't discussing the merits of the crossbow, we were discussing your comment that it was illegal. Which it isn't
