Imagine how bad it could be without the prayers. Free will and the anger and evil in the human heart is a strong force. We have been given free choice and no everyone chooses to use that the same way. But let's look at it like we are sitting in an OTB parlor for a minute If I am wrong in my belief and you are right. we both end up as worm food and evolution just plods on. If I am right and you are wrong. I think it kind of puts things in a different perspective. even if the odds are such a long shot I think the benefits are worth it.

I guess our definition of "better' is the real issue. -

Our hunting quality sucks as defined by the amount and size of our antler record . book entries. the whole season structure should be redone to facilitate rut hunting for bow and removed fro gun. Your right. I apologize. I don't know how I could have made such walid unfounded assertions about you. -

Phade. I know where you hunt. how can you be whining about the quality of our hunting. I don't see a need to modify things if the results don't chnage. Change in Who's mind? Bow hunters. Here is a reality check for you guys....bow hunters are a MINORITY. geesh...you sound like all the other wlefare groups wanting it all changed to benefit the minority. -

You would see the spots if it were in natural light. See the black band on the ear tops -
No problem. I think an untagged deer should get more than an oooops factor in an AR area,. $250 seems fair for that in my mind.

They can't, Doe. Bow hunters barely make a dent in the required take. entire bow season yeilded 15% of entire deer take. -
That is what I was interesed in.

Fully aware fo the regulations Marti. Was curious if anyone knew of any fines int eh AR areas that had been given out.

A deer with less that a 3" spike is considered an antlerless deer. the deer with the 3-1/2" is a buck but not a buck of legal size. (I know Joe NYAntler is going to comment about not shooting at the minimum). so a guy goes to fill his doe tag and it ends up being a buck...small but over 3" spike. What is the penalty? How about the guy that sees the point but it doensn't make the 1" off the top ofthe beam for the required 3rd point. they didn't shoot and antlerless deer. anyone ever heard how much$$$

Just so I can understand you position. I dont recal anyone saying that YOU had to use one. SO what would teh inclusion in archery season have to do with you? I think as a group the bowhunters that are against archery are too worried about what other are doing. Since there is a past comment in another thread about the elephant inthe room let's say it again. if they aren't saying you have to hunt that way, what is left for this pureist motivation. Scared some other less deserving hunter will tag their deer? -

I had a scope on my last compound bow and the range I practice at has targets every 10 out to 70 and one target at 90. I watch guys shoot it every night I go with the new modern compounds. I keep hearing crossbows being compared to guns and talk about shooting out to 100 yards. I am going to say something and I will probably get flamed for it but here goes. I bet half the members here and probably less percentage of that in the general hunting public could put 4 out of 5 shots off hand in a 12" circle at 100 yards...pick your gun. so I am not buying the tossing a crossbow in an ARCHERS hands and saying he is good to 100. I am not buying it. better yet. they couldn't make 2 out of 5 -
wow...you must have been fom the big city. around me the las tguy standing was the one that was right...lol. Then you both went to the bar and bought each other a beer.

I won't deny that I believe some of that will be going on. I certainly HOPE they leave it for the kids. Part of the regulation for the hunt shouldbe that the parent/guardian/mentor can't handle the gun...loaded or unloaded. -
I think I still have one in my parents basement. single or double player. had tennis, hockey and squash. no multiple levels...just faster and faster.

Mom and dad send my tot he old counrty store at 5 for Cigs...lol. go figure.

Welcome to the sit eand I have to say I have a sweet spot for Springers. I have owned two and one was a wonderful hunting buddy. Nothing in hunting beats seeing a good dog working. Good luck
