Now that is the perfect way to put it. And I really think that is what nfaadk was trying to say...but who knows for sure...lol

Is a .30-06 more accurate with a 150 gr bullet or a 165 grain bullet. Using your logic the 150 grain bullet should always be more accurate because it is faster? That is the basis for you argument---right?

Are you an absloute freaking idiot or what? Read what we posted you dope. no one said it is the same shooting downhill/uphill as it is on the horizontal. your point of as is the horizontal leg of the triangle REGARDLESS of the distance above or below the target. Oh my God how did you comprehend enough to pass the hunters safety course.

I struggled...no such thing as "simple" math..lol

I know..what was I thinking. Every once in a while the survey background and Clarkson education is of some use...lol

I just got and started using the Lee 4 hole turret press. I love it. It is so easy to do I can't beloeve I was intimidated and didn't do it years ago. Fun hobby in itself

First in order to shoot at a 30 yard target at a 45 degree angloe you would have to be 90 feet in the air. That is simple trig and NOT open to debate. you are correct in the actual distance vs the sighting distance is different but your estimation is way off. been a while for the trig and physics 101 fr me so maybey the younger more enlightened folks can help us out. your yardage you should be shooting is the yardage from the base of the tree to the target not the yardage measured along the slope from you to the target. if that target is 30 yards from the base of the tree the arrow is having a downward force acting on it for 30 yards of disatnce. It is the same uphill as it is downhill.

what press are you using, Eddie?

chalk me up as a poor form guy...I love mine...lol

the assessed value may be but the determination of the FMV may not be. I am not doubting you Geno and I am not lawyer or accountant but I find it hard to believe a reduction was reached based on the tax rate. . Unequal Assessment: This is the most common grounds of the four. It is where the assessed value is at a higher percentage of value than the assessed value of other real property on the assessment roll, at a higher percentage of FMV than the assessed value of ALL real property on the assessment roll; Alternatively, it is a situation where the property should be assessed at a lower percentage of FMV based on either the latest state equalization rate for the city/town/village, the latest RAR established for the city/town/village, or other technical grounds

You are correct Doc. You can greive the assessment only. I did it 2 years ago and had sales back up form 5 houses in the immediate area. Comparable property that sold for less than my new appraisal. I also had a realestate friend of mine do an appraisal of my house. I presented and got turned down. the only recourse I had at that point was to take them to court and that would have cost me more that the increase i was fighting.

If you have a deer inside 30 yards and have two bows in your stand. everything is identical except one is set so it is 30 fps slower. Is that going to result in a missed or worse yet wounded deer? Now if we are talking about pushing to hunting shot in the 40-60 yard distances I can see where that 20-30 would make a significant difference in trajectory. I would also say that if shots in those distances are attempted the shooter would have the parctice/ability and equipment to pull it off. Some one that practiced the added drop will be understood and second nature. I honestly believe the 2 biggest mistakes made by bow hunters is in the distance estimation and their ability estimation...lol
-
speed...speed ...speed. Bill hit it right on the head. you could have a slower bow that actually shoots flatter if the arrow set up was lighter. The point I ws trying to makeis....it is all about practice. I don't care if you are parcticing with a 200 fps or a 400 fps bow. if you know your set up and practice outside of what your normal hunting distances will be you will be better served. In regards to the original postings.....a 2-5 fps drop in a bow will not drastically change ones ability to make a shot assuming you are set up for that speed and weights.

Oh I gotta hear you explaing this further. Let's have it Mr. Physics Wizz

Even if you dont agree with this guy....you gotta give him points for being truthful. http://biggeekdad.com/2011/10/kellers-rivers

The way I understand the voucher system is one is provided for every child (based on a flat rate through taxes) It is then my decision where i send my child and how much additional I wish to contribute to have her attend the school of my choice. It would allow me to ust the alotted amount to fund at a private school ...or a religious based school if I chose.
-
I have a child. but you have hit on one of my pet peeves. Why do/should we expect people without children to pay for the education of our children? I believe the society as a whole will benefit from a quality education of our children but is it fair that they pay for my daughter? Is it fair that only property owners will pay the school tax? I guess I see a benefit for a voucher system where it is pay to play type funding. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that one of our taxation systems isn't fair...lol

I carry light foam ones. a hen and a jake. I have had them run right to them and I have had them turn and run straight away. I have had the best luck with them in low pressure areas. I think they get decoy shy just like they get call shy.

You are so right Doc. I hated it as a kid and love it as an adult. Still can't get 3 things past my lips though....creamed corn...cottage cheese (both look chewed , eaten and tossed back up) and the BIG NO EAT!!!! Beets....barf

survey complete.....My idea of predator control is something in the range of .22-.30 caliber. I would lov eto see them open up the season for the entire year....I mean fr the ones that don't view it as open 365 anyways...lol
-
Holy cow....another upstate hick that really does understand it!
-
Well you keep practicing. Why you would be practicing with it at 200fps is beyond me but hey...have at it. When it warms up and we get out of this really tough winter here in upstate hicksville...swing up. We can shoot 50's from anywhere from 10-70 yards...your call. I promise to leave you enough to make the trip back to the big city...Yall get back to me...hear

Well I guess for a guy like you that only throws a few arrows before stepping into the woods and doesn't really put in any real practice....I could understand how it would seem difficult
