  1. Not to get crazy off topic but my cousin had one of these. I helped him drag out a buck on one and it was really amazing how much easier it made it. He use to put it on his day pack like a bed roll. Really made it easier on grass and leaves. Bet it would go like mad on snow http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/original-deer-sleighr-game-sled.aspx?a=450188
  2. th eone I got this year was 185 dressed...we did the same...draggedd to the area we could get the wheeler and had to load him whole because the guy who ows it walks his dog and deosn't want gut piles there. We had all we could do to get him on the back rack. He swears he is only going to shoot small deer from now on...lol
  3. First words of truth he has said in this thread We are closed minded? Imagine that coming from someone who can't see what a video like this does to the sport as a whole. Pat...you ARE the problem and those just like you.
  4. $13,000 is an aweful lot of corn fed beef...lol ???
  5. Did they have an age on that one VJP?
  6. Chicken...should have pulled the tigger on that deal on Sunday...lol
  7. I get my house sprayed every year. it is a spray that dries and forms a barrier that bees and flies won't come back on. we get 5 or 6 of our friends together and get a great price. about 130 bucks. If there is a bees nest on the property the whole season...back he comes to take care of it,.....no charge.
  8. It is a fine line....and when done correctly....seldom needs repeating...lol
  9. WNY is saying it correctly...I heard it. If you own 5 pistol barrels for the encore the frame will be listed 5 times with each barrel.....Hence the reason I just close the deal selling my rifle....I have encore parts to buy
  10. Doesn't matter how you factor in, Doc. The buggers never listen to our plans. I don't think I hae ever had one run towards the car or up hill...leaving a down hill drag. I did get luck with my biggest weight deer...205. he dropped just off a logging road and after a quick 15 minute spell with the chain saw I was able to back the truck to within 15 feet. And you know what...My Dr. say hunting doesn't count as exercise. I invited hime to go with me for a day but he hasn't taken me up on it
  11. Yup...He hasn't gotten "it" throughout this whole thread....but I would love the chance to explain "it" to him
  12. If your didn't they probably should have tried it...what they did obviously didn't work
  13. Uphill....all deer dragging sucks...lol. I don't care how big they are Dad use to say "As soon as you pull the trigger...the fun is over". So I got him a 4 wheeler.
  14. Mine is the Geiko commercial with the drill Sgt. as a therapist
  15. Boy...sure set me back on my heels with that one...lol
  16. I just can't get over how the abnormal points are mostly the same on both sides.....and the kickers.....have kickers. That is going to make one great mount
  17. Don't bet on that one pal. you have no idea the areas I hunt and the amount of deer i have seen. I was mearly pointing out since you were putting so much faith in that phone of yours that I wouldn't put all your faith in it. GPS is great but no substitute for a good ole fashioned compass. and the skills required to hunt the bigger woods is far different than a 200 acre plot...whick is a postage stamp by comparison....so that makes me a jackwagon. Obviously your mother and father (assuming you know who they are) should have spent a little more time beating some civility and manners into that thick skin of yours. All I can say Pat.....you have to get a license to cut hair in this state but any dope can breed....I hope you find some way to do a better job than your parents did
  18. Up in that area, Pat, You better bring a lot of extra batteries for that phone. I guarantee the walk is longer than your battery's life. Hunting on a 200 acre postage stamp is not preparation for hunting big woods
  19. What do you say to our hunting brothers in the Daks that don't have permits?
  20. So that is the basis for your opinions....you want it EASY? Kind of takes away the special nature of bagging a great buck ....doesn't it? Where does it stop....if everyone could go out and kill a 120 buck....then a 140...then 160...what next...genetic manipulation to grow bigger racks? Its not about being easy. If you read what people said that are pro AR, they are speaking for their area's where larger bucks are nearly non-existant. It's about giving the deer a chance to survive and grow older.... Is every 2.5 going to live to 4+, absolutely not... Is every 1.5 covered by AR, nope... Is it better then nothing, absolutely... Not to get it stirred back up with you Thehunter....but the topic was not WMU specific. GJS4 was commenting on NYs hunters and that would mean statewide...not hunters in 3whatever. There are areas of the state that can not/do not support a doe permit issuance. It may have improved some areas but it is NOT a progran that will fit across teh entire state. I don't think they can get a one size fits all because the state varies so much
  21. do you have a flue damper just above the stove? When we close ours down for the night it usually still has good coals in am...we are only 400 sf in the camp though. I would look for an airtight.
  22. Pat...you still missed the point of most here. Not so much the content containg the fact the deer was killed or even how it was killed but the presentation on an open and public forum. If that hillbillie wanted to breed with the thing after he killed it....his business....sick but his business....but to put this crap out there in the world we live in....loaded with folks just looking for a reason to slam us....Fact for you...we are the minority and must protect what we have
  23. Buck of a lifetime...or maybe 3...lol. COngrats and I can't wait to read the story
