  1. LOL @ Larry...I was gonna say the same thing...Maybe that is where all the WMU 3 deer went...They are all out here in 7 and 8
  2. I wanted to....I was down there but it was a work weekend at camp. I did stop into the gun show for a few minutes though at the Lisle Fire Hall
  3. COngrats Fan----better slow down...lots of season left...lol
  4. COrn cobs, eddie?.....now you are just being abrasive...lol
  5. LOL....he didn't laugh because he wanted the follow up frames ...lol
  6. I drove from Rochester to Marathon on Saturday morning. 12 deer on the road and 4 were bucks. one really nice rack...looked like a big 8 ....welll looked like it at 70+. I hope the movement continues...less than a week to go and I am losing my stinking mind!!!
  7. The no sunday noon IS a left over blue law....and just for the record...the constitution guaranteed feedom of religion...NOT freedom from religion....there is a difference
  8. I think the line ran north and south around Syracuse....I grew up in the mohawk valley....always could there....but West of that line above.....no sunday hunting. Left over blue laws
  9. Sorry to repeat......that might give the drug trafficing trade a run for its money in terms of dollars per volume....
  10. Set a pin....go to properties and type them in....it relocates that pin to the coordinates and let's u label it....doesn't work too good for trails though...I just hit the intersections and freehand them
  11. ous is laminated on the wall...since some may come in or out at different times., we use a dry erase marker to leave messages where we are going. No sense heading to an evening watch if someone is already there...lol
  12. I am betting any public range might never set up for 1,000. Imagine some of the yahoos on that and the backstop size you would need. The liability would probably be crazy. I haven't seen anything over 300 that i have been around
  13. Hey bubba-----I know they have come out with light recoil loads for the 30-06 ...have they done any for the 25?
  14. I figured it was differnt than a club but I never would have thought it in anyway would have compressed that much
  15. I have heard claims of $1,000 per 1/2 cc straw for a very good trophy buck...any thruth to it? I am thinking that might put the drug trade to shame
  16. I hate to start this out with "I nkow a guy who knows a guy" But I do......Texas ranch bought his HUGE non-typical buck for breeding purposes. The guy was getting out of the business...$30,000...sedated it and shipped. The stress was too much and the deer died in transport. the seller was responsible for the transport so he was out the 30K
  17. If anyone even puts the word "taste" in this thread I QUIT!!
  18. Let me cut and paste that so you future wife has it to give to the guy that chisels granite . I agree you won't generate much at a foot drop but please...at least give yourself a safety factor of 2-2.5
  19. LOL...we do the same thing on Google Earth. Gotta love a hand held GPS. out plots are Orange----stands red---creeks blue
  20. I have never hunted there but some really nice deer come out of there every year. Good luck....it is always hard the first year in a new woods. One benefit we have here in NY is we do have quite a but of Public land (compared to CT)...some of it is really big woods and not the greatest deer habitat but they are there and plenty of "elbow room" Good luck
  21. That is sad. Someone is gonna have to get the crayons out and draw me a picture because I can't picture this from the write up. the straps cut off circulation...on a backpack? but he got wedged between the tree and stand and that caused him to soffocate? How would you get wedged by a climber?
