    not only the deer and its offspring worth mega bucks, but the genetics alone are worth a ton of money. Its a shame, and glad he was caught.

    last i knew the smoke dissipates, it just doesnt linger and sit there the wholee time, and no, i dont think it alerts them in any way, but thats my general opinion. we can argue about it till the cows come home. I have smoked in the stand for nearly 12 years, and never not seen a deer split because of it. Call me crazy, call me silly, but it dont matter. As a matter of fact, i posted a reply back in late oct, early november about passing on an 8 point because of safety issues, and i was smoking then, and he paid no nevermind to it.

    Yes sir, always. Its only 6 years old, but alot can happen in 3 years.

    I would like to see the one buck rule myself. I think ar's are rediculous, unless you do your own on your own property.

    I think i may venture to 7a tomorrow to see if i can rustle up something. I have a spot over there that i havent hunted in 3 years. Hope the permanent stand is still in ok shape.

    deer dont say hey, i smell marlboros and newports over there, lets book it. I do it all the time. if they got spooked from it, id stop, but they dont.

    same here. known since kindergarten. our parents hated each other tho, lol.

    oh jeez....... my better half and i have been together since school...... now we are 32..... she is hinting for a ring. I think its time, so xmas may be the day. I dont think it will bye me more time in the woods, on the ice or turning the reel.

    I smoke in the stand, and see deer all the time. Sometimes, right when i light one up, one will meander thru. never spooked one cuzz of it.

    people have their own ways of doing things. Ive shot plenty of deer without sitting "all day".

    I know dec does not frown upon it. around here, they are all over the place, and you can see them from the road. mine is visible from the road after the leaves fall. There is a dec officer who lives on a road that is peppered with homemade blinds. He has never said anything to us about it.

    if you are on probation, or parole, felony or misdemeanor, you can not posess any firearms including muzzleloaders.(friend in that situation.) After the term is served then you may have the priviledge back. Also, parolees depending on your conviction, may not posess a bow either.

    I see elk all the time where i hunt. But ill never mistake one for a deer, i know that much.
