I agree with the fact that shoulda paid the bill, but to just sit there and watch it burn is unethical. Like others have said, they coulda been billed, even though they may or may not have paid it anyways.

Happens here all the time, then they shoot the decoy, lol. Last year, my gf's uncle saw a guy running across the corn field to retrieve a "coyote". The when approached, and dec being called, he dragged back the button buck in an attempted of good faith. Next morning, the uncle had a hunch, since there were 2 shots, and took a walk and found the 8 point they took from the road. the button retrieval was a cover for the other buck so they wouldnt get caught. Friggin jerks. This year however, no deer were takin from the road so far. I guess after 20 years of calling dec, and decoy placement, they are starting to go elsewhere.

the slush on the ice was rediculous last year. we always start ice fishing the pond the day after xmas, but like you said, it isnt looking good this year.

either have to pick junior up from the sitter, or i will go to other spots.

i agree with the food. Try to set up where there are some rubs and scrapes on field edges if thats available, and hang one scent wick. i noticed this past friday a buck sniffing the ground pretty hard.

I agree with the wind..... brutal. And walking thru the woods last tuesday and seeing a few frogs dip in the mud ruts was a lil wierd for late november in the great white north. And yes 740, alot more big bucks next year lets hope.

I built an enclosed elevated hut 3 years ago. Its pretty nice to take the little ones in, they can be out of the rain if they come in the woods with me if they can let go of their nintendo ds for a few hours. I do have a buddy heater in it. my avatar is taken out of it. In the summer, the kids use it for a tree fort. i dont use it all that much, maybe a total of a week all together. I have 6 other stands to hunt from.(regular) i also carpeted it just for noise reduction.(old driving range carpet) and the siding is off a barn that collapsed on the farm.

Strange season for me... Lot of deer came out at a night. Took a broken antlered buck a few weeks ago, and still have late muzzie season for this week, so I may be able to take another one, if i get my lazy butt out there. So, there is still hope. Saw a nice lil 6 with its nose to the ground this past friday morning, but it was way to early and dark yet. So, ill hang in hardwoods bordering cornfields this week.

very nice set up. you could look into the total assessment and go from there... idk if the county has a tax map online, but that would be a start, and maybe talk with a broker that specializes in camps and recreational land.
