  1. And we just named your blind, the "scout blind" Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  2. If that midget buck steps out behind ANY other deer, its ded. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  3. Beans are very high in protein, which is crucial for antler growth. Corn is low in nutritional value but still gives deer energy. The nutrients corn depletes from the soil can easily be replenished with fertilizers. Soy will still be the "best" for deer, from a nutrition stand point and will bring the deer in from the first sprouts to the last hanging bean. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  4. I mentioned earlier, that I completely disagree with the scout theory as I've never had that experience. But, this year my 8 and 10pt both "mature" were solo. PB with bow. Solo PB with the gun. Solo PB with ML. Solo PB with Xbow. Solo I recall a heavy 8pt in Franklinville that was dogging does in late season gun, and he was behind them, but I equated that to rut behavior, as he was grunting and had his nose to the ground After reviewing the memory book, the only "mature" bucks I've shot have been solo or with a doe. 5. Not all !!! You witnessed for yourself a very, very hairy day on Erie. She was angry. If, and I mean IF we pounded 1-3 waves that was alot. My boat is 30 years old and not a rivet is loose. Would you buy my boat from me ? She has seen 8'rs on Ontario ... And is not beat. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  6. Regardless of the scout rule, does anyone else remember wolc saying that old, rutted up matures taste awful ? Now we are hearing he wants big bucks for more meat..... The tables have turned. Wolc, I'm glad you giving your deer and extra 2 years to live and enjoying more meat for your family. As I've always said, those that say old deer taste bad - have never ate an old deer. 7. I've witnessed the exact opposite. Deer will hammer beans as long as they are there. Harvesting beans leaves little to no left overs vs corn, and might be what your seeing. I killed a nice buck last couple days of ml season coming out to eat beans. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  8. So, your open to single console ? Opposed to dual console ? I'm trying to spend your money, stop making it hard for me !!! If you like that boat at bow and stern, just want to save money on a 50hp, I can call it in and see what the friends and family price is. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  9. Why is the 50 an issue ? Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  10. I got my "one eyed willy" this year, and I hope you do too ! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  11. I have a closed closet and run the batteries dead on my ozonics after every hunt. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  12. I disagree with the scout theory. "mature" bucks are typically loners, and only found in packs when it's rut or yarding season late winter. Are there times when a mature will stay at the back of a pack, yes, late season when he's worn out from a hard rut and is lazy and doesn't want to work - smell, eyes, snow etc. Or spring of the year, which I'll assume the bachelor groups are learning the competition and checking around and taking notes on does. 13. Plant your butt in the stand for the rut.... Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  14. Do you think the Spartan is really worth the extra $$ ? Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  15. If only apple made a cell cam, all the cool, hip hunters would have one ! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  16. You are always willing to do extensive write ups on cams, just surprised you weren't more willing to assist members with cams not purchased from your shop. I'm in the construction industry, and if I had a penny for the things I did for others and didn't get paid for....maybe it gets me a referral, or a reputation. I was under the impression you were here to help, and to sell cams. I could def understand if members reached out to you for help Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  17. I am curious to see how the Spartan does out there. Hopefully there's a return policy if it doesn't. That cam is alot of $$$. With decent cell service the Moultrie has been amazing for the money. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  18. I was able to talk@sodfather through his setup of the Moultrie, and he didn't buy the cam from me. That's what we do here, help each other out ! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  19. GREAT guys ! Paul is the man I have names you can drop if need be Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  20. I rarely use just the electric. Always using the kicker / gas powered. The electric is just there to steer. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  21. Had 2 tracts of 100 acres that I "managed". Neither held big bucks, and there was plenty of work involved to keep the big boys around. Actually, the most important key to it all, is the easiest of all things...... STAY OUT. Sanctuary's keep big bucks around, even more than food, or water, or does. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  22. Motorguide Xi5 networked to a lowrance carbon. The options are endless with the gps/ graph. Turns, zig zag, slow turn, wide turn, cruise control, All at the push of a button. I only use my remote when keeping the boat angled drifting, when trolling it's on heading lock and I use the kicker for push and electric for steering. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  23. Never full blaze. Mostly hunting private, so just a hat. I've been to some other private, and also to state land and I will wear hat and hoody but it has a pattern on it to break up silhouette a bit. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  24. Btw. No matter what rig you get, I hope to have an annual ROB / PYGMY fishing adventure !!! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  25. Buy once, cry once ! Do I even need to tell you my opinion ? I will. Lol The Nympho to me is a great platform, I can get in and out of any lake, only need 8" of water below me, and can handle big water (as you witnessed). There are a ton of tin cans out there that will serve you well. I'd say stick to something 17-19', 6' beam minimum, and deep V. Plenty of guys on the big ponds with those rigs. You just need to find something with a medium gunnel height, so you can do bass stuff but still high enough that you feel safe standing in 2'rs. And yes, the electric up front is a tool I couldn't live without ! I love how mine is linked to the graph, and I recommend that as well so your not always carrying a remote. Minn Kota to hummbird and motorguide to lowrance. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
