  1. If your that sketched out, and it's a mature buck that's "been around" hang another stand close by and only hunt it with a perfect wind scenario. He will prob rely on his nose, and come down wind of that stand if he doesn't actually look up to see if there's something out of place. Ask me how I know..... If you got busted by a doe, don't worry about it. They are gonna stick to their travel routes and right now they are either trying to hide and breed, or run and hide to not be bred, or just doing the normal routine. 9. That's a slammer ! Absolute toad. I'd like to see the actual inches after dry time and a pro puts a tape on it,or see what @Biz-R-OWorld scores it at. That doesn't look like 200" of antler. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm telling ya, heart shot, 5 yards or 55 yards. You will never regret it. Burn it in to your brain. I actually wrote it on my dad's xbow. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

Where do you get that formula ? I shot my 19' buck at 16 yards, from a 22' ladder stand. Exit vs entry was prob 6-8" different. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  22. Pics of the hair ? Hair off the top of the back has distinct dark tips. A pic or description would def help to figure out where you hit her. Also, she may have ducked the bolt. My dad has skinned 2 so far with the xbow because he's taking 30+ yard shots and WILL NOT change his methods of aiming double lungs. All xbow shots should be aimed at the heart. Not sure where you had the crosshairs but I'd recommend always aiming for the heart, no matter what distance. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  23. Also, would you be willing to sell me the pelt ? Looking to make some custom undies to wear while fishing. Thanks. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  24. I would have never figured you for having any less success with the puddy cats. Congrats !!! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
  25. Wait 5-6. It's def worth a look at blood, hair etc. Gut is a definite wait overnight if not longer. If you got gut, you'd be lucky to have hit lungs, maybe 1. A 1 lung gut shot can stay alive for 24 hours, but can also die in its first bed if not bumped. A smashed liver with a little gut is a dead deer, but a graised liver and gut is also going to survive for a bit. The key with these types of shots is letting the deer lay, and it will die in its bed. If you go back and feel confident in blood, track away, but if you bump him, back out and give him a day. Depending on your area, and the rain, you may want to contact a dog to track. Good luck ! Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
