  1. Lots of scores this year. Congrats to all ! I feel like this could be a forum record with all these bucks hitting the dirt. Nice work all ! I've been grinding it pretty hard and in the stand every chance I can morning evening whatever. I'm hoping to settle the score on a good one that I had a chance at earlier in gun. Don't want to give up all the details cause I think it will make for a fantastic story (that biz will author). This guy ruined my 18' because he's the first buck in many years that is my sole target. Hunting 1 specific buck can be fun but time consuming and difficult. Haven't hunted a different stand since my encounter. Hoping to put this guy on the ground in 18' but not scared to tag him in 19' if it has to be that way. Either way, good luck to all those hammering it out for the hail Mary. I'll be on that boy till the last minute of legal for 18. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. It's a phrase I love saying and hearing ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks ! And yes, L3710. Best machine I ever bought. We load em up, get em out, elevate bucket and field dress without bending over, then dump em in the truck. Love hearing dad say "get the Kubota" !! It's the buck-it bucket Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. Dad scored last night. He wasn't gonna come out since he had a Dr apt but I knew we would have some bucks cruising and I convinced him to hunt. He showed up at 330 in blue jeans and had a shot off shortly after 4pm. Had alot of pics of this guy and dad is beyond happy. Nicest buck in awhile. Turns out it was a buck he hit during bow season, clipped his front leg, so that made it even a little sweeter. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. I take all my prior guesses back. It's a button buck, shoot !!! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. Cabela's had one on sale for 99$ https://www.cabelas.com/product/BLACKOUT-STEALTH-HUNTER-GROUND-BLIND/2780748.uts Cyber Monday sale so hop on it. I owned a primos and it was ok. Only lasted a few season and was never left out. I now own 2 rhino blinds and they are very well built with good quality materials. If I was going to buy another, it would be the newest primos surround view. It has a one way view netting so you don't have to have it open to actually see out. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. When you start comparing any of the manufacturers, you will always hear pros and cons. Biggest thing to look at is price point. They all have entry to high end ranging in price. The Remington 783? Is the entry level for them. Absolute junk. Again, cycle the bolt a few times and you will see. I don't care if it drives tacks ootb and it's 150$ with a scope, I'd like it to last and not corrode after one rainy sit. I've got 2 savages and both are fantastic shooters with great triggers. My favourite is the lightweight hunter in 308. Unbelievably light, shooter, great trigger, stainless barrel. I think most will agree with me on this, don't get an entry level anything, go with the middle of the road and spend your money on optics. You won't be disappointed no matter what manufacturer you get. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. Should be fine if hide is still on. 50° is no good but packed with ice should be ok Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Build quality. Granted, the 700 isn't the best rifle you can buy but it's fit and finish and tolerances are all better than the Ruger. I'll bet if you cycled the action side by side you could see the difference. If its just a deal your after, go for the Ruger. If you were looking somewhere in the middle, savage makes a great rifle for the money. The 700 is just a proven platform. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  14. Sat the pm at the farm. Ended up seeing 14 total. They started pouring into the clover around 4. One decent buck but they were on other side of field from me. Hopefully they get comfortable at the sanctuary and stick around for awhile. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  18. Yeti. I got a different lid off eBay cause the one it comes with was not spill proof. I'm not much for burning hot coffee but it's lasted as long as I wanted it to in cold temps. It will be loaded tomorrow and head out in single digits. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
