  1. I have a guy.... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. That spot will definitely produce during rut. I love that finger of thickets.... The old down wind scent checkers will be parading through there Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. Back at it before they know it. They have some time to reflect on the year, and get mentally motivated for the rest of the long season. Get the injury's out early, then get ready to rock. You need to get muck boots to custom fit them pups some foot wear ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. My old and newer suit is quiet. I can't say I do a ton of wiggling in the tree so for walking through brush and overall I wouldn't say it's loud. As far as fitment....Moog, I'd let you try my mediums on, but I'm not certain we can get them off, and I kinda need them, sooooo Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. Worked-ish. The Chevy blind was quite comfy. Took my bro in law. Saw 3 doe and 2 bucks. Watched the two bucks fight, rub and freshen scrapes. They walked the whole field edge so we had a nice show.... Not the one I was after though. They could have cared less about the truck. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. My original (10ish yrs old) was labeled artic shield, my dad bought same suit a year later labeled onyx, and I bought a new suit last year labeled arctic shield and says onyx on tag... No idea what the deal is but the newest suit is better fit / finish and seems heavier duty yet thinner than my old suit. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. Not sure I could wiggle out with one nocked. Might have to set it on the roof and grab for the shot. Just can't forget before we leave.... Ok. I'm in, what ya doing tomorrow night !!!? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. I though about that too, but why not stay out of the weather and listen to some tunes ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Go pro is on the bow, but I can prob get it setup on the truck.....fantastic idea Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  10. Artic shield. You won't find warmer for less, trust me I did the research. You don't want to do long walks in it but it's fantastic stuff and well made. You can score the suit on eBay cheap. Super cold days late season I will wear an under armour base, merino second. I stay toasty warm and was always the guy with 13 layers and still cold. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  11. That's it. I'm gonna have to hunt lazy and smart. Same mature buck in the field tonight, 20 yards from my truck. Even started my truck with the OnStar app.... He just milled around. I'll be sitting in the truck with the bow loaded on the ground outside. I'll park on an angle so I can sneak out and around and get the shot. I'll show him Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  12. Know the feeling.... They can't get much closer than this. I assume his antlers hit the camp while making this one Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  13. Mine are not Cabela's but they are smaller and aluminum. Work great. Only used them a few times but def did the job. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  14. Like the idea. Use the stencil with more shape to the letters and it will look badass. Or just freehand the elite logo with the silver, prob wouldn't be that hard. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  15. Any particular species ? I'm sure pygmy would send you some fur but not sure you would want it, or have enough borax. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  16. First of, ambassador ... I think it would be very inspiring to see you do what you love, meaning a trip to the tecomante ranch where you arrow a 200" whitetail. All expenses paid. Seriously ! Then go visit the guys at Heli hunter and shoot some pigs from a chopper. Hunters with prosthetics may be a minority compared to those that pour glasses of water, but dang it that would be seriously inspiring to plenty of those with and without ! Either way, what a tremendous opportunity for you man, congrats. Ambassador. (Has a nice ring to it !) Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  17. Fletch performs the infamous " victory lap ". Nice shooting, enjoy the brew !! I hit the farm to check cams, finally have a big boy cruising around !! On another note, had a doe nursing fawns.... Wth. She better get them on solid food before the weather turns ! Both fawns are tiny. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  18. Only idiots shoot for that bullseye ..... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  19. Yotes as a fawn Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  20. Imo, only the young and dumb ones run does, period. The only time a mature buck runs is to fend off another buck while he's tending a hot doe. The big boys have presence, and when they lunge after a few does and don't get what they want, they gone. As far as scents go, doe in heat, rutting buck etc, they will also bring in the younger bucks. Yes, you may bring in a mature in between hot does but most likely you will be attracting younger ones only. The trick to rut hunting is knowing where the does are bedded and hunting the down wind side of the bedding area. Stay scent free, pay close attention to the wind, super stealth entry, score big ! 21. Again, I think a nice squirrel hunt is the best bet. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  22. First, is he missing his tail ?? 3, hands down. Flat back, average sized head, no belly sag. Dressed at 175# Deduct 3# if you cut that nasty ass basketball hanging from his chest prior to weighing. He's 435# with pa chest girth If I was to name him, it would be dolly, like dolly Parton. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  23. BOOM ! And just like that, the dream team starts stacking up the recoveries. And here you were thinking you would have a dead end season. Awesome work !!! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  24. Did the haunted hayride at the farm today. 30 people, double axle 18' trailer, through the woods and up and down the hills..... Man do I LOVE my Kubota !! Did see a couple deer though from the farm house while we were hanging out, they walked right under one of my stands... Ah well. Also saw a couple zombie deer on the ride. Kids had fun. One (3yr old) nephew said it was the best hayride of his life, ever lol. Hopefully hit the hills of franklnville for the pm tomorrow. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
