Forget the eyes on lake E.... The king report is the same on lake O and I cannot wait to get some big chrome in the boat ! Also gonna try and hit chataqua and SMB and give the musky a try too once late summer hits. Did a rookie run on chataqua last year after I got my buck tag punched. Jeremy K. That's decent footage... I'm impressed. I have seen a dozen or so clips from the newest tactacam and was not impressed. Yours is Def much better !! Not sure if it's a transfer thing or what but my buddy has to be doing something wrong. Main downside is that the tactacam is a hunting only cam. One thing is for sure, "kids" need to be taught as young as possible gun SAFETY. Respect for the machine and what it can do. I was a god awful handful as a child but I NEVER EVER went in the gun cabinet. I.e. peed in outlets, peed down the heat ducts, started everything on fire, broke alot of toys and windows...etc. I think that if there was to be some good legislation it would rely on parents / adult supervision. Like, a child under XX age must be accompanied by an adult, then after XX years of supervised gun usage, a parent / guardian can sign off, fill out a form (etc) allowing their child to be afield with a firearm. It sounds silly but think of the xbow requirements..... Read this, cut this out, sign it and keep on you... Really ? Again I think my point to this is with enough supervision and field experience with a qualified adult, a 10 yr old could prob be safer than a guy who's been hunting for 40yrs. Lol. Yea, I did read that ! But, sometimes it's worth it to spend the extra money. If your not gonna be happy with a 200 rig, it's a waste. Then u drop 400 on one that's satisfactory and your into it for 600... I really can't talk though, as I got it as a gift but was something I was eyeing up for awhile for hunting/fishing/outdoors filming. If you can find a buckshot that will pattern well, it's a deadly combo. Out of my jellyhead choke, turkey loads like win xr or magnum blend have got me a dozen or so dogs, with NO runners. Buckshot will not pattern for me out past 40. I tried at least 4-5 different loads from cheap to expensive with similar results. I would shoot a dog 60+ with Xr's and not hesitate. Buckshot would keep me inside 40 and that's just too much of a risk where I'm at. I have shot only a few dogs within that range. Most are at the 50-100 range. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Still waiting to get some footage on the new gopro. Got a hero6 for Christmas. Waiting to hunt some crows or daytime dogs. I'll update after. So far, it seems pretty cool though. It has an option to "zoom" where u lose the wide angle but get a better close up. Again, I'll have to see in the real woods. Got a buddy with a tactacam. Def stay away from yote vocals till late in your set. Fox will stay away if you start with Yotes, as others have said. As far as the .22, I'd also take any shotgun you have and lay it next to you. .22 is a headshot gun imo. Good turkey loads will take a dog down no prob. Most are even good to 50-60-70 depending on choke. My advice is this : Rabbit and or bird distress, off and on for a few minutes at a time for at least 15-20min If you have fox distress try that for a short bit, then back to rabbit/ bird distress for another total of 15-20mi. Then yote vocals. No barks, no long howls. Yips are great. Then silence for a few minutes. Pup distress. Let it run till your ready to leave. Maybe adjust volume or brief pauses Once you kill the calling, sit for 10 min in the silence and keep an eye out. Too many times this is when they come in. Obviously play the wind and watch your scent as much as possible. Fox usually just barge in from any direction but the Yotes will definitely come from down wind. I'm prob gonna head out sat and or Sunday evening. make the ride and your welcome to join !! Then you can sit back and watch me pretend to know what I'm doing...lol. Just stay after it. Don't get discouraged at all the "NO's" you get. Sometimes it only takes one piece of dirt to make a successful season. Also, don't stop at one. Try and get as many places that you will actually scout and hunt. Most likely, you won't be the only one hunting if it's a big farm. This is a hard question to answer. The reason I say that is the training. Forget the age, when a hunter knows major safety like what's behind your target, gun safety etc, and can navigate the woods comfortably, knows his opponent - basic tracking and recovery skills then they are ready. I also think they should be accompanied @100% for a season or two no matter what the age. No matter the age there will always be idiots out there, that can ruin it for the rest of us. I like the idea though that 12 may be the new age. I plan on taking my son hunting more and more as he grows up. He's 4 and has already logged quite a few hours with me for bow season. The more I get him out there, the more I can teach him in a real world scenario and the better off he will be when he heads to his own stand someday. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
