  1. I live on LI and work in NYC. A very strict place for gun control. I have never had to defend hunting in way some of you talk about. In fact most of my city friend are curious to the whole process and have asked to try venison. So gun control and Cuomo have nothing to do with it. Posting pictures like the ones in this thread just give us a bad name.
  2. Good luck guys and gals, be safe buckle up, strap in and hang on for the ride.
  3. A scaled down version of the hero. Cost $129.00 it's a beginner camera but will do the job.
  4. Just for the record the NY Times did not film this. It was an independent film maker.
  5. France has a law and Germany is about to pass "no work emails on the weekend and after 6pm at night" we should follow but it would never happen.
  6. How many of us have the deer status from the Danbury Mint???? lol
  7. The average salaried worker about 50 hrs a week. I really think it falls upon the individual to cut ties with work on off hours. When I call in sick I'm still watching email, setting up the daily schedule. I did a stay vacation in August and was on email everyday. A lot of people are used to this and its expected but not mandatory.
  8. Do you guys really believe they sent it out to sway your vote? My god that would hang you for treason in your own party…$350 bucks.
  9. just opened up my check, I needed this…….
  10. Hey thanks but I have my kids this weekend. Good luck out there and watch those ticks!
  11. 2 years ago we had a very large bear running my property. I had to go to my lower tree stands to fix something. To get there you have travel trough some thick pines. I have a food plot off the side of the pines with a trail cam. It was 3:00 in the afternoon when I heard down. The next day I pulled the cards. At 3:05 that big bear is pictured heading down where I was. I always feel like that bear is watching me as I he'd through that area. Needless to say I always pack now.
  12. I jog past your Realtor office every morning headed down Huntington Bay road. I just bought a house in Northport, still have to close.
  13. I do my best to imitate a doe in heat with just my own vocalizations. A buck can't resist a doe in heat call. Works great if you are in a thick area where he has to move around to find the source. The can works well if you have a hard time vocalizing on your own. Young bucks also like a "hello" call letting them know another deer is in the area. These young bucks will turn on a dime and come right in. Sounds like the word "me" vocalized quickly.
  14. Right superintendents do nothing… ha ha. I guess its just how you value your kids education. Good luck not going down this road again again and again.
  15. Head is not that big but…. it is facing away from the camera.
  16. My niece did it in Paris. Wonderful experience. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  17. http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/26/us/oklahoma-beheading/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 They suspect was shot by an armed company executive, who works in the auxiliary sheriffs dept.
  18. I'm spending the $350 on myself. The kids get it 24/7 365 days a year!
  19. One never knows about October. I remember the first year I bought my camp. Opening day of bow 7 years ago was 15 degrees out….crazy!
  20. The author spent time with the family before and after the hunt. It was clear to everyone what the video was about. The boy in the end, when it came down to shooting an animal, was not ready.
  21. I look forward to getting the check. Thanks for the info!
